Blue Fear 2004
"Blue Fear" is an instrumenal composition by Dutch disc jockey and producer Armin. It was initially released on 13 October 1997 as 12" vinyl in the Netherlands by Cyber Records. It is the first track from Armin van Buuren which reached a significant success. The single was rereleased on 16 August 2004 by Nebula as the fourth single from Armin's first studio album, '' 76''. Background and release At the moment of the release of the track, van Buuren was 19 years old and he was still living with his parents in Leiden. He created "Blue Fear" in his bedroom with a sampler bought with his own pocket money. In 2020, during an episode of A State of Trance, van Buuren explained to Ruben de Ronde the context of production of the track : “I was bullied by a couple of guys and i was afraid to go outside, so i was afraid of the ‘blue’, afraid of the light of the blue skies. Armin Jozef Jacobus Daniël van Buuren ( , ; born 25 December 1976) is a Dutch DJ and record producer from Leiden, South Holland. Since 2001, he has hosted ''A State of Trance'' (ASOT), a weekly radio show, which is broadcast to nearly 40 million listeners in 84 countries on over 100 FM radio stations. Eelke Kleijn
Eelke van Kleijn (born June 11, 1983) is a Dutch producer and DJ hailing from Rotterdam. He is known mostly for his electronic dance music. Nowadays he produces music for other media, such as television series, commercials, movie trailers and animations. In his early career (between 2003 and 2005), he mainly produced electronic records as M.I.D.O.R. & Six4Eight, and he was responsible for some of the DJ Precision releases and remixes. His first release as Eelke Kleijn was "4.5 Billion Years" in 2003 on Segment Records. From 2005 onwards, he solely released music under his own name. Trouser Enthusiasts are an electronic dance music production group, formed by Belfast-born Ian Masterson and David Green. The group is best known as producers of pop and dance remixes, having worked for, most prominently, Pet Shop Boys, Dannii Minogue, and Saint Etienne. They have produced only one original single, "Sweet Release".
