BlowUpRadio is an American internet radio station based in New Jersey. History Lazlo is a former disc jockey from the rock music station WDHA. He founded BlowUpRadio on 15 December 2000. The Internet radio station showcases homegrown music from New Jersey, focusing predominately on unsigned artists. The station features playlists, interviews and live performances, and the website features newsletters and videos. Lazlo explains he created BlowUpRadio because "people actually care about hearing local bands," as a response to mainstream Jersey Rock Radio stations "playing an occasional Bruce Springsteen or Bon Jovi song." Hero Pattern
Hero Pattern was an American rock band from New Jersey. History Hero Pattern was a four-piece rock band from Sparta, New Jersey. They play post-grunge and modern rock that draws inspiration the music of Elvis Costello and Tom Petty, and music journalist Jim Testa calls Hero Pattern an "energetic brand of indie rock." Lead vocalist Jason Kundrath and bassist Rob Fitzgerald played in a band, before being joined by drummer Mike Kundrath. When guitarist Pierre Marceau's band broke up, he joined the group and together they formed Hero Pattern in 2001. Jason Kundrath acknowledges inspiration from classic rock and grunge, and mentions in an interview with '' The Signal'' that "The Beatles were my first obsession." God Street Wine (also known as GSW) is a jam band from New York City. Their music is an amalgam of rock, jazz, bluegrass, funk, psychedelia, pop, Americana, reggae, progressive, and more. The band broke up in 1999 and reunited in 2009. GSW played a significant role in the development of the improvisational jam band scene of the early 1990s. Their earliest days include playing Nightingale's and The Wetlands Preserve in New York City where their contemporaries were The Spin Doctors, Blues Traveler, Jono Manson and the Dreyer Brothers. Marcy Playground is an American alternative rock band consisting of three members: John Wozniak (lead vocals, guitar), Dylan Keefe (bass), and Shlomi Lavie (drums). The band is best known for their 1997 hit "Sex and Candy". The sound of the band is rooted in hard rock and heavy metal, but they frequently experiment with varying sounds, such as reggae, dub music, go-go, and funk. Larry and His Flask is a self-styled "Post-American rock band from Bend", a city on the Deschutes River in Oregon. Charlie Hunter (born May 23, 1967) is an American guitarist, composer, and bandleader. First coming to prominence in the early 1990s, Hunter plays custom-made seven- and eight-string guitars on which he simultaneously plays bass lines, chords, and melodies. Critic Sean Westergaard described Hunter's technique as "mind-boggling...he's an agile improviser with an ear for great tone, and always has excellent players alongside him in order to make great music, not to show off." The Howlin' Brothers are a Nashville-based old-time country blues/string band consisting of singer/songwriters Ian Craft (fiddle, mandolin, banjo, and kick-drum), Jared Green (guitar, harmonica, and piano), and Dan Swan (upright bass).
