Norfolk County in the Canadian province of Ontario consists of a long list of communities. Its four designated population centres are Simcoe, Port Dover, Delhi, and Waterford. The population of the County at the time of the 2016 Census was 64,044. Of that number, 13,922 live in the community of Simcoe. In the late 1900s, the county was merged with Haldimand County but the merged entity was dissolved in 2000 and this area became ''The Town of the County of Norfolk''. Bloomsburg (Watkins House)
Bloomsburg, also known as the Watkins House, is a historic plantation estate located at 9000 Philpott Road (United States Route 58) southwest of South Boston, Halifax County, Virginia. The main house was completed about 1839, after seven years of construction, by Alexander Watkins, a local farmer and businessman. It is a two-story brick structure, with a Greek temple portico that appears to be a 20th-century addition, but is by lore similar to an original one. The house is one of Halifax County's early Greek Revival plantation houses. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017. Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania (Bloomsburg, BU or Bloom) is a campus of Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania and it is located in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. It is part of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE). Bloomsburg Formation
The Silurian Bloomsburg Formation is a mapped bedrock unit in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Maryland. It is named for the town of Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania in which it was first described. The Bloomsburg marked the first occurrence of red sedimentary rocks in the Appalachian Basin. Description The Bloomsburg is defined as a grayish-red and greenish-gray claystone, argillaceous siltstone, shale, and very fine to fine-grained sandstone, arranged in fining-upward cycles. Although the Bloomsburg can sometimes be green to gray, its most dominant color is red and they are often called "The Bloomsburg Red Beds". This is significant in the Appalachian Basin since it marks the first large scale terrestrial collection of sediments in the rock record. Most of the sediments that were deposited before this time were marine, or a small scale terrestrial zone. Bloomburg is a town in Cass County, Texas, United States. Bloomburg is east of Atlanta, Texas, and is home to the Cullen Baker Country Fair, held every year on the first Saturday in November. Despite it being named after an outlaw named Cullen Baker, it is a huge family event and has a parade, craft/food booths, a pageant, bouncy houses, and a rodeo.
