''Blood Bowl 3'' is an upcoming turn-based fantasy sports video game developed by Cyanide Studios and published by Nacon. It is a sequel to the 2015 video game ''Blood Bowl 2'', based on the Blood Bowl board game by Games Workshop. The game is scheduled to be released on 23 February 2023 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, with a Nintendo Switch port to follow sometime later in 2023. The game will use the newly updated Second Edition ruleset. It will contain a single-player campaign as well as multiplayer. Gameplay The game is a fantasy version of American football, played between two teams of up to 16 players, each team fielding up to 11 players at a time. Touchdowns are scored by taking the ball into the opposition's end zone. Cyanide SA (also known as Cyanide Studio) is a French video game developer based in the Nanterre suburb of Paris. The company was founded in 2000 by Patrick Pligersdorffer, formerly of Ubi Soft. ''Chaos League'' is a fantasy-based sports management game developed by Cyanide Studios and published by Digital Jesters. It was released in Europe on 8 August 2004 and later in North America on 8 March 2005. The game is a spin on American football, the violence of the Medieval football with no rules and rugby-style of sports yet set in a fantasy world with teams being made up of fantasy races such as dwarves, elves, orcs and undead, along with the use of magic and other fictional elements during a "match". A blood sport or bloodsport is a category of sport or entertainment that involves wikt:bloodshed, bloodshed.
