''Blonde in Bondage'' (Swedish: ''Blondin i fara'') is a 1957 Swedish drama crime film directed by Robert Brandt, who also wrote lyrics to the film's two songs. Distributors Corporation of America released the film in the US as a double feature with ''The Flesh Is Weak''. It was shot at the Metronome Studios in Stockholm. Plot New York City reporter Larry Brand is sent to Stockholm to do a story on Swedish morals. A traffic accident leads him into rescuing a strip tease artiste from drug addiction and pits him against a ruthless criminal gang. The double feature is a motion picture industry phenomenon in which theatres would exhibit two films for the price of one, supplanting an earlier format in which one feature film and various short subject reels would be shown. Opera use Opera houses staged two operas together for the sake of providing long performance for the audience. This was related to one-act or two-act short operas that were otherwise commercially hard to stage alone. Metronome Studios
The Stocksund Studios were film production studios located in Stocksund, a suburb of Sweden. Based in a converted former power station, production began there in 1946 by the independent Imago Film company. In 1953 the complex was taken over by Metronome Film and became known as the Metronome Studios, until it was damaged by a fire in 1961. Stig Järrel (8February 19101July 1998) was a Swedish actor, film director and revue artist. Järrel was one of the most popular actors in Sweden during his career, and also one of the most productive, participating in a total of 131 films. He also performed as an actor at various Swedish theatres and was a frequent guest on radio and television. Biography Stig Järrel was born Stig Ohlson in Malmberget in northern Sweden in 1910. In 1929, he was admitted as a drama student at the Royal Dramatic Theatre's Royal Dramatic Training Academy in Stockholm, and worked later for actor Gösta Ekman. Anita Strindberg (born 19 June 1937) is a Swedish former actress who appeared in numerous Italian ''giallo'' films in the 1970s. Strindberg appeared as Anita Edberg in two Swedish films in the late 1950s. She started her career in gialli with Lucio Fulci's ''A Lizard in a Woman's Skin'' in 1971 and starred in her first lead role that same year, in the Sergio Martino-directed ''The Case of the Scorpion's Tail''.
