Blond
Blond (male) or blonde (female), also referred to as fair hair, is a hair color characterized by low levels of the dark pigment eumelanin. The resultant visible hue depends on various factors, but always has some yellowish color. The color can be from the very pale blond (caused by a patchy, scarce distribution of pigment) to reddish "strawberry" blond or golden-brownish ("sandy") blond colors (the latter with more eumelanin). Occasionally, the state of being blond, and specifically the occurrence of blond traits in a predominantly dark or colored population are referred to as blondism. Because hair color tends to darken with age, natural blond hair is significantly less common in adulthood. The Blond Bay State Game Reserve is a 2000 ha game reserve in Victoria, Australia. It lies on the north shore of Lake Victoria in the Gippsland Lakes about 20 km south-west of the town of Bairnsdale. Sweden was represented by Blond in the Eurovision Song Contest 1997 with the song "Bara hon älskar mig". Before Eurovision Melodifestivalen 1997 Melodifestivalen 1997 was the selection for the 37th song to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest. It was the 36th time that this system of picking a song had been used. 1,229 songs were submitted to SVT for the competition. The final was held in the SVT Studios in Gothenburg on 8 March 1997, presented by Jan Jingryd and was broadcast on SVT2 and Sveriges Radio's P3 network. The show was watched by 2,965,000 people. The winner was chosen by 11 regional juries, being "Bara hon älskar mig" performed by Blond. It was written and composed by Stephan Berg. At Eurovision Heading into the final of the contest, RTÉ reported that bookmakers ranked the entry 12th out of the 25 entries. Tages (band)
Tages were a Swedish rock band formed in Gothenburg in 1963. The group, whose original line-up consisted of Tommy Blom, Göran Lagerberg, Danne Larsson, Anders Töpel and Freddie Skantze, were one of the most successful Swedish bands of the 1960s. They achieved thirteen top-20 singles on Kvällstoppen, such as " Sleep Little Girl", " I Should Be Glad", "In My Dreams", and " Miss Mac Baren", as well as having two albums certified gold, ''Tages'' (1965) and ''Tages 2'' (1966). Tages began their recording career as a beat band, heavily influenced and inspired by the Beatles. The Hollywood Blonds is a name used by several professional wrestling tag teams over the years. The original Blonds were Buddy Roberts and Jerry Brown, who used the name in the 1970s. Rip Rogers and Ted Oates wrestled as The Hollywood Blonds in the mid-1980s in the National Wrestling Alliance's (NWA) Jim Crockett Promotions (JCP). The name was also adopted by "Pretty Boy" Larry Sharpe and "Dynamite" Jack Evans, who had a stint in then World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF).
