''Block Mania'' is a board game published by Games Workshop in 1987 that is based on the ''Judge Dredd'' comics. Gameplay ''Block Mania'' is a 2-player board game set in the ''Judge Dredd'' universe in which residents of two city blocks must cause as much harm as possible to each other before the Judges arrive to restore order. Weapons include spray paint, guns, flamethrowers and heavy lasers. The winner is the player whose block is the least damaged at the end of the game. Publication history ''Block Mania'' was designed by Richard Halliwell, with artwork by Dave Andrews, Chris Baker, Colin Dixon, and Brett Ewins, and published by Games Workshop in 1987. The same year, Games Workshop also released an expansion game, '' Mega-Mania'', that allowed up to four players to play. Chris Baker (artist)
Christopher Baker (usually known as Chris Baker but also professionally as Fangorn), (born 17 August 1960 in Birmingham, England) is a cover artist for British and German versions of the '' Redwall'' books, as well as a storyboard and film conceptual artist, most notably with filmmakers Stanley Kubrick and Tim Burton. Baker's pseudonym "Fangorn" is derived from the name of a forest in J. R. R. Tolkien's ''The Lord of the Rings'' novel. Biography Baker received his education at the Bournville School of Art. In the early 1990s, Fangorn provided art for Games Workshop, including the covers art of boxed games Advanced Space Crusade, the Space Hulk supplements '' Deathwing'' and ''Genestealer'', and Battle for Armageddon, as well as the covers of several issues of ''White Dwarf'' magazine. Brett Ewins
Brett Ewins (1955 – 16 February 2015) was a British comic book artist best known for his work on ''Judge Dredd'' and ''Rogue Trooper'' in the weekly anthology comic '' 2000 AD''. Biography Ewins studied Conceptual Art at Goldsmiths College, where he was also taught fine art by Michael Craig-Martin. Ewins met future collaborator Peter Milligan at Goldsmiths, and left in 1977. In 1980, Ewins held a solo exhibition of his work at Frestonia's ''Car Breaker Gallery'' in London, a squat in Ladbroke Grove's Republic of Frestonia. Ewins formed a long-term collaborative partnership with fellow artist Brendan McCarthy who also showed at the Car Breaker Gallery, creating the comic ''Sometime Stories'', which faltered after the first issue leaving the second issue completed but unpublished. Judge Joseph Dredd is a fictional character created by writer John Wagner and artist Carlos Ezquerra.
