Blinky Bill (film)
''Blinky Bill: The Mischievous Koala'' (also known as ''Blinky Bill'') is a 1992 Australian animated adventure comedy film directed by Yoram Gross and produced by his Sydney-based production company Yoram Gross Film Studios. The film tells the story of Blinky Bill's childhood with his animal friends in the Australian bush. The peace and charm of their existence is shattered by the destruction of their homes by humans. Blinky rallies his friends as they battle to protect their homes from destruction and as he rescues his mother from captivity. The animation is superimposed over live-action footage of the Australian bush, which was filmed on location in a farm at Bobin. Yoram Gross
Yoram Jerzy Gross (18 October 192621 September 2015) was a Polish-born, Australian producer of children's and family entertainment. He was known for his adaptation of children's characters from books and films, and best known for the production of the films ''Dot and the Kangaroo'' and '' Blinky Bill: The Mischievous Koala''. Early life Gross was born in Kraków, Poland and was the brother of Jewish film director Natan Gross. Gross endured World War II under the Nazi regime. His family was on Oskar Schindler's list, but chose to make their own risky escape, moving hiding places 72 times. Gross studied music and musicology at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow (also known as Krakow University).
