Immaculata High School is a Roman Catholic high school in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, operated by the Ottawa Catholic School Board. It is currently located along the Rideau Canal in Old Ottawa East neighbourhood of Ottawa. Like other Catholic schools, it is publicly funded under the Ontario school system. History Immaculata High School was founded as an all-girls school in 1928 by Reverend J.J. O’Gorman, acting under the advice of higher ecclesiastical authority. He named the school "Immaculata", and opened it with an initial enrollment of 85 run by a staff of 3 Grey Sisters as an alternative to public school education for girls of moderate income located at 211 Bronson Avenue. The girls paid a monthly fee of one dollar- if their families could afford it. The site for the new school was the former Christie mansion property on Bronson Avenue at the corner of Lisgar Street, which was purchased for $25,000. W.E. Notre Dame High School (Ottawa)
Notre Dame High School is a Catholic intermediate school and high school in Ottawa's west operated by the Ottawa Catholic School Board. The school is one of the first in the area to use a uniform. The school is mainly two storeys throughout, except for the northeast corner where it features a basement in which the classrooms are almost exclusively for mathematics. It has an auditorium. It used to feature a single gymnasium in the centre of the school, but an extra one was built and opened in 2002–2003. Sports teams play under the moniker/nickname "Notre Dame Eagles" (formerly the Notre Dame Silver Eagles). The present site at 710 Broadview was once the site of Highland Park Technical School. Notre Dame High School moved into the 710 Broadview site during the mid-1990s, from their old site on the north west corner of the Holland Ave- Queensway intersection. Holy Trinity Catholic High School is a secondary school located in the Kanata district of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It serves students from grades 7 through 12. It is the first of its architectural design by Edward J. Cuhaci in Ottawa, opened in 1990. It was followed by five identical schools in the Ottawa-Carleton Catholic School Board. History The school was initially constructed to relieve overcrowding at St. Paul's located a few kilometres to the east. Because of a construction strike, the school was not ready to open on time, and students had to share the building at St. Paul's for the first two months. Students from Holy Trinity attended classes in the morning, starting an hour earlier than usual and going until noon. Students that would have been attending St. Paul's attended classes in the afternoon. All Saints Catholic High School (Ottawa)
All Saints Catholic High School, opened September 2002, is a secondary school in the Kanata district of Ottawa, Ontario. The school is located in the Kanata North area of Kanata Lakes and serves the communities of Kanata and West Carleton. The school motto is ''Dei Gratia'', Latin for 'The Grace of God'. In 2005, All Saints students chose "Eddie the Yeti" as the school mascot. History The school opened on September 3, 2002. Monsignor Leonard Lunney presided at the official ceremony on behalf of Archbishop Marcel Gervais. The school was built on land which was previously owned by the Whalen family. The high school was designed in 2002 by architect Edward Cuhaci. A similar design was used for Holy Trinity Catholic High School, however All Saints increased the number of classrooms on the second floor.
