Intentionally Blank Page
An intentionally blank page or vacat page (from Latin: ''vacare'' for "being empty") is a page that has no content and may be unexpected. Such pages may serve purposes ranging from place-holding to space-filling and content separation. Sometimes, these pages carry a notice such as "This page intentionally left blank." Such notices typically appear in printed works, such as legal documents, manuals, and exam papers, in which the reader might otherwise suspect that the blank pages are due to a printing error and where missing pages might have serious consequences. Uses for intentionally blank pages Intentionally blank pages are usually the result of printing conventions and techniques. Chapters conventionally start on an odd-numbered page ( recto page); therefore, if the preceding chapter happens to have an odd number of pages, a blank page is inserted at the end. Book pages are often printed on large sheets because of technical and financial considerations. Thus, a group of 8 ...

René Magritte
René François Ghislain Magritte (; 21 November 1898 – 15 August 1967) was a Belgian surrealist artist known for his depictions of familiar objects in unfamiliar, unexpected contexts, which often provoked questions about the nature and boundaries of reality and representation. His imagery has influenced pop art, minimalist art, and conceptual art. Early life René Magritte was born in Lessines, in the province of Hainaut, Belgium, in 1898. He was the oldest son of Léopold Magritte, a tailor and textile merchant,Meuris 1991, p 216. and Régina (née Bertinchamps), who was a milliner before she got married. Little is known about Magritte's early life. He began lessons in drawing in 1910. On 24 February 1912, his mother committed suicide by drowning herself in the River Sambre at Châtelet. It was not her first suicide attempt. Her body was not discovered until 12 March.Abadie 2003, p. 274. According to a legend, 13-year-old Magritte was present when her body was retrieved ...

The Blank Page
''The'' () is a grammatical article in English, denoting persons or things already mentioned, under discussion, implied or otherwise presumed familiar to listeners, readers, or speakers. It is the definite article in English. ''The'' is the most frequently used word in the English language; studies and analyses of texts have found it to account for seven percent of all printed English-language words. It is derived from gendered articles in Old English which combined in Middle English and now has a single form used with pronouns of any gender. The word can be used with both singular and plural nouns, and with a noun that starts with any letter. This is different from many other languages, which have different forms of the definite article for different genders or numbers. Pronunciation In most dialects, "the" is pronounced as (with the voiced dental fricative followed by a schwa) when followed by a consonant sound, and as (homophone of pronoun ''thee'') when followed by a v ...

Blank Page
"Blank Page" is a song recorded by American singer-songwriter Christina Aguilera, taken from her seventh studio album, '' Lotus'' (2012). It was written by Aguilera, Chris Braide and Sia, with production done by Braide. Aguilera had worked with Furler on her previous two albums ''Bionic'' and ''Burlesque'', both released in 2010. Following the release of ''Lotus'', Aguilera revealed that Furler is one of her favorite people to work with and that she is very inspiring. "Blank Page" is a minimalist piano-driven ballad that received frequent comparisons to Aguilera's 2002 single "Beautiful". It garnered strong critical acclaim from music critics, who praised its simplistic arrangement as well as Aguilera's raw and strong vocal performance on the song. Following the release of ''Lotus'', it peaked at number 53 on the South Korea international singles chart. Aguilera performed the song live for the first time at the 39th People's Choice Awards, where she was awarded with the People ...

Adore (The Smashing Pumpkins Album)
''Adore'' is the fourth studio album by the American alternative rock band the Smashing Pumpkins, released on June 2, 1998, by Virgin Records. After the multi-platinum success of ''Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness'' and a subsequent yearlong world tour, follow-up ''Adore'' was considered "one of the most anticipated albums of 1998" by MTV. Recording the album proved to be a challenge as the band members struggled with lingering interpersonal problems and musical uncertainty in the wake of three increasingly successful rock albums and the departure of drummer Jimmy Chamberlin. Frontman Billy Corgan would later characterize ''Adore'' as made by "a band falling apart". Corgan was also going through a divorce and the death of his mother while recording the album. The result was a much more subdued and electronica-tinged sound that Greg Kot of ''Rolling Stone'' magazine called "a complete break with the past". The album divided the Smashing Pumpkins fan base and sold only a fra ...
