Blake Smith
Blake Smith (born January 17, 1991) is an American former professional soccer player. Professional career Montreal Impact On January 17, 2013, Smith was selected 8th overall in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft by the Montreal Impact. On February 25, 2013, the Impact officially signed Smith. He made his professional debut on March 30, 2013, against Sporting Kansas City, coming on as a sub in the 79th minute for Marco Di Vaio. On May 13, the Impact loaned Smith to NASL club Indy Eleven. Smith was waived by Montreal on May 7, 2015. Smith played the remainder of 2015 with Swiss club Yverdon Sport FC before being signed on December 15, 2015, by NASL expansion club Miami FC. FC Cincinnati On February 5, 2018, Smith signed with United Soccer League side FC Cincinnati. The USL Championship (USLC) is a professional men's soccer league in the United States that began its inaugural season in 2011. United Soccer League (USL), formerly known as United Soccer Leagues, is a Association football, soccer league in the United States and Canada. It organizes several men's and women's leagues, both professional and amateur. 2018 FC Cincinnati Season
The 2018 FC Cincinnati season was the club's third season of existence, and their third in the United Soccer League (USL). It was FC Cincinnati's second season as a second-tier team in the U.S. soccer pyramid, as the United States Soccer Federation provisionally promoted the USL from Division III to Division II for the 2017 season. FC Cincinnati played in the Eastern Conference of the USL. This was the final season of the club's USL incarnation. 2017 Miami FC Season
The 2017 Miami FC season was the club's second season of existence, and second season playing in the North American Soccer League. During the season Miami won both the Spring and Fall NASL season, qualifying for the end of season playoffs where they would go out on penalties to the New York Cosmos in the Semifinals. In the U.S. Open Cup, Miami reached the Quarterfinals before losing to USL side FC Cincinnati 0-1 in a game that had to be re-arranged due to bad weather.
