Blackwater River (Massachusetts–New Hampshire)
The Blackwater River is a tidal inlet in northeastern Massachusetts and southeastern New Hampshire in the United States. The river forms in a salt marsh in the northeastern corner of Salisbury, Massachusetts, by the convergence of the Little River and Dead Creek. Heading north, the river quickly enters Seabrook, New Hampshire and continues to flow through salt marsh until it reaches Hampton Harbor, northwest of Seabrook Beach, where it joins the Hampton River. Seabrook Nuclear Power Station
The Seabrook Nuclear Power Plant, more commonly known as Seabrook Station, is a nuclear power plant located in Seabrook, New Hampshire, United States, approximately north of Boston and south of Portsmouth. It has operated since 1990. With its 1,244-megawatt electrical output, Seabrook Unit 1 is the largest individual electrical generating unit on the New England power grid. It is the second largest nuclear plant in New England after the two-unit Millstone Nuclear Power Plant in Connecticut. Two reactors were planned at Seabrook but the first unit didn't begin full operation until 1990, a full 14 years after the construction permit was granted, and the second unit was never built due to construction delays caused by protests, cost overruns, and troubles obtaining financing. Salisbury, Massachusetts
Salisbury is a small coastal beach town and summer tourist destination in Essex County, Massachusetts, United States. The community is a popular summer resort beach town situated on the Atlantic Ocean, north of Boston on the New Hampshire border. Seabrook Beach, New Hampshire
Seabrook Beach is a census-designated place in the town of Seabrook and partially in the town of Hampton in Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. It had a population of 1,078 at the 2020 census. Geography The CDP is a compact area of homes between the tidal Blackwater River and the Atlantic Ocean. The community extends from the mouth of the Hampton River in the north to the Massachusetts state line in the south. Most of the CDP is in the eastern part of the town of Seabrook, but the northern end of the CDP, consisting of Thornton Street, Campton Street, Plymouth Street, and parts of Woodstock and Ashland streets, is in the town of Hampton.
