Blackstock Road is a major road in North London, England, running from Seven Sisters Road south westerly to Highbury. Facilities Blackstock Road hosts a diverse array of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. At its south end there are a number of public houses, while at the north end there are Algerian Cafés, with many restaurants and shops running along its length up towards Highbury Park. Government Blackstock is an unincorporated community. Accordingly, it has no municipal government. Certain portions of the community are located in Fairfield County, while others are located in Chester County. As a result, both counties exercise a measure of control over the affairs of the community and provide services to it. History Edward Blackstock, an early postmaster, named the community after himself. The Cornwell Inn, located on Blackstock Road, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994. Blackstock Knob
The Black Mountains are a mountain range in western North Carolina, in the southeastern United States. They are part of the Blue Ridge Province of the Southern Appalachian Mountains. The Black Mountains are the highest mountains in the Eastern United States. The range takes its name from the dark appearance of the red spruce and Fraser fir trees that form a spruce-fir forest on the upper slopes which contrasts with the brown (during winter) or lighter green (during the growing season) appearance of the deciduous trees at lower elevations. The Eastern Continental Divide, which runs along the eastern Blue Ridge crest, intersects the southern tip of the Black Mountain range. The Black Mountains are home to Mount Mitchell State Park, which protects the range's highest summit and adjacent summits in the north-central section of the range.
