Blackpool Sea Eagles
Blackpool Sea Eagles are a rugby league team based in Blackpool, Lancashire. History ''Blackpool Sea Eagles RLFC'' were founded in 2002 by Chris Aylen who was convinced Blackpool was the ideal place for summer rugby . With help from Dave Gavaghan with assistance from the Blackpool Rugby League Supporters Club. Friendlies took place throughout the summer. The first taking place at Hutton v Lancashire Police Three more games were played at the home of Blackpool RUFC. Blackpool Sea Eagles became founder members of the North West Division of the Rugby League Conference in 2003. They ended the league campaign with two wins both coming against local rivals Lancaster before crashing out to Gateshead Storm in the first round of the RLC Shield play-offs. 2004 saw the club compete in an expanded eight team North West Division. St Ives Roosters are a rugby league club from St Ives in Cambridgeshire. They were founded in 1991 as one of the first rugby league clubs in East Anglia. Currently they play in the Rugby League Conference East Division. History The club were founded in 1991 as ''St Ives Sharks''. Their first game was against Newmarket at the St Ivo Outdoor Centre. It was a friendly fixture with both clubs having very little experience in their sides. The Sharks won 56- The club then joined the Eastern Counties League. Mancunians is Manchester's rugby league and sports club fielding several rugby and handball teams across the city at various age groups. The club is a Sports Club Community Mutual (Co-operative) and carries out development work across the city of Manchester. The club submitted an expression of interest to the Rugby Football League to join Championship 1 in 2009 and are working with the Rugby Football League to develop their application further. History ''Mancunians RL'' was formed on 2 April 2009 and joined the RL Merit League. In their inaugural season they were able to field two full teams on several occasions due to the sheer numbers of players interested in the club. The club were RL Merit Club of the year in 2009. Widnes Saints
Widnes Saints are a rugby league team based in Widnes, Cheshire. They play in the North West Premier Division of the Rugby League Conference. History Widnes Saints were formed in 2004 operating from the Widnes St Maries premises. The club joined the North West Division of the Rugby League Conference. The first season was a success with the Saints winning their Division and the Harry Jepson Trophy at their first attempt at the Conference Grand Final against West London Sharks. After two relatively poor seasons the Saints turned things round with the use of some of youth players produced by Widnes St Maries blending with some of the more experienced players from around the borough. The 2007 Season saw the Saints finish second in the North West Division behind Liverpool Buccaneers but the Saints managed to overturn them in the play-offs to win the division title. Butts Park Arena is a multi-use sports stadium in Spon End, Coventry, England. Its main use is as a Rugby football, rugby stadium (both rugby union, union and rugby league, league). Lymm RL is a rugby league side based in Lymm, Cheshire. They play in the North West Merit League. History Crewe Wolves entered the Northern Division of the Rugby League Conference in 1999 playing their first season at Georges Playing Fields, in their first season, Crewe Wolves Man of Steel was Chris mcgarrigle, who played In the London league for Stretham Celtic, Leicester RLFC and Stoke RLFC. In seasons 2000-2002 they played at Sandbach RUFC and 2003–2004 at Winnington Park RFC. Crewe & Nantwich Steamers started in early 2003 as a junior colts team with some senior players and then joined forces with Wolves to create one senior and one colts team under one club. Rhyl Coasters are a rugby league team based in Rhyl, Denbighshire, Wales. They played in the Rugby League Conference History The original ''North Wales Coasters'' formed in 1989 and joined the nearest district association which was Widnes in England. They played in the North West Counties Division 5 with home games played in Llandudno. Their first game was against Bradford Northern supporters club. They later also played at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, Bodelwyddan, Abergele Sports centre and Parc Eirias in Colwyn Bay. They disbanded in 1997.
