Black Widower
"Black Widower" (originally titled "The Return of Sideshow Bob") is the twenty-first episode of the The Simpsons (season 3), third season of the American animated television series ''The Simpsons''. It originally aired on the Fox Broadcasting Company, Fox network in the United States on April 9, 1992. The episode was written by Jon Vitti and directed by David Silverman (animator), David Silverman. Kelsey Grammer guest starred as Sideshow Bob for the second time. In the episode, Sideshow Bob — Bart Simpson, Bart's new archenemy — returns, wanting to kill Bart as revenge for sending him to jail. He instead marries Bart's aunt Selma Bouvier, Selma, but when Bart later realizes that Bob is planning to kill Selma, he prevents the attempted murder and Bob is sent back to prison. "Black Widower" finished 39th in Nielsen ratings for the week that it originally aired. Reviewers generally enjoyed the episode, and gave Grammer's portrayal of Sideshow Bob particular praise. Lowell Amos
Lowell Edwin Amos (January 4, 1943 – January 5, 2022) was an American convicted murderer whose mother and three wives all died under suspicious circumstances. He was convicted in 1996 of murdering his third wife, Roberta Mowery Amos, and was the subject of a 2006 Lifetime Network made-for-TV movie called ''Black Widower''. Amos was a former General Motors plant manager. Some sources spell his first name as "Lowel". Death of Roberta Amos In December 1994, Lowell and Roberta Amos attended a company executive party at the Atheneum Hotel in Detroit. The Amoses went to their suite at 4:30 am. Four hours later, Lowell called Bert Crabtree, another executive from the party, and seemed to be in a panic. Crabtree and another hotel guest named Daniel Porcasi went to the room, and Lowell told them that Roberta had died in an accident. ''The Brokenwood Mysteries'' is a New Zealand television detective drama series that premiered on Prime in 2014. Each of the first six series comprises four distinct episodes. Series 7 began streaming on 29 March 2021 on Acorn TV, comprises six episodes. The programme is set in the fictitious New Zealand town of Brokenwood and is filmed in the greater Auckland region. The Black Widowers is a fictional men-only dining club created by Isaac Asimov for a series of sixty-six mystery stories that he started writing in 1971. Most of the stories were first published in ''Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine'', though a few first appeared in ''Fantasy & Science Fiction'', ''Isaac Asimov's Science Fiction Magazine'', and the various book collections into which the stories were eventually gathered. Asimov wrote "there are few stories I write that I enjoy as much as I enjoy my Black Widowers."
