Black Rain (band)
Black Rain were an American electro-industrial group based out of New York City. It was formed in 1992 by musicians Stuart Argabright, Chaz Cardoza, Thom Furtado and Shinichi Shimokawa. They released two studio albums on Fifth Colvmn Records: '' 1.0'' (1995), ''Nanarchy'' (1996). The band released their third album ''Dark Pool'' on Blackest Ever Black in 2014. History Black Rain was formed in New York City by musicians Stuart Argabright, Chaz Cardoza, Thom Furtado and Shinichi Shimokawa. Black Rain released their debut full-length studio album '' 1.0'' on Fifth Colvmn Records in 1995. The following year they released their second album ''Nanarchy'' on Fifth Colvmn. Fifth Colvmn Records was a record label based in Washington, DC. The label was founded in 1990 by Zalman Fishman, owner of the nightclub FIFTH COLVMN, located in Washington D.C. The label's first release was Chemlab's debut EP Ten Ton Pressure. Jared Hendrickson of Chemlab also became the general manager for the label. Chemlab later played several dates with Nine Inch Nails, eventually attracting a distribution deal for their next release, Burn Out at the Hydrogen Bar, with Metal Blade Records. The band Thud was the next artist to join the label. Heavy, loud and unrelenting, Thud became very popular amongst Metal fans and critics alike luring Eli Janney from Girls Against Boys to contribute to their debut record Life & Death and earning co-headling performances with Stone Temple Pilots. "Johnny Mnemonic" is a science fiction short story by American-Canadian writer William Gibson. It first appeared in '' Omni'' magazine in May 1981, and was subsequently included in ''Burning Chrome'', a 1986 collection of Gibson's short fiction. It takes place in the world of Gibson's cyberpunk novels, predating them by some years, and introduces the character Molly Millions, who plays a prominent role in the Sprawl trilogy of novels.
