Black Order (comics)
The Black Order is a supervillain team appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. They are a group of alien warriors with various supernatural abilities who serve Thanos. The original iteration, introduced in the 2013 '' Infinity'' storyline following a cameo appearance in '' The New Avengers'' #8 (September 2013), consists of Ebony Maw, Corvus Glaive, Proxima Midnight, Black Dwarf, and Supergiant, with Black Swan later joining the group as well. The Black Order have been adapted from the comics into several other forms of media, such as animated television series and video games. The group (renamed the " Children of Thanos") made their live-action debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film '' Avengers: Infinity War'' (2018). The New Avengers (comics)
The New Avengers is a fictional team of superheroes appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The title has been used for four American comic book series. The first two were written by Brian Michael Bendis and depicted a version of Marvel's premiere superhero team, the Avengers. The third was written by Jonathan Hickman and depicted a group of characters called the Illuminati (formerly introduced in ''New Avengers'' Vol. 1 #7 uly 2005. The fourth is written by Al Ewing and depicts the former scientific terrorist group A.I.M., reformed as "Avengers Idea Mechanics", whose field team has appropriated the name "New Avengers" for itself. The Triskelion is a fictional headquarters used by S.H.I.E.L.D., an organization appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. A feature of the Ultimate Marvel universe, the building first appeared in ''The Ultimates'' #3 (May 2002). Fictional history In the Ultimate Marvel universe, the Triskelion is one of the first headquarters of S.H.I.E.L.D., and base for the Ultimates. Originally designed by British architect Norman Foster, the facility was to have been mobile like the Helicarrier, but the cost proved prohibitive. The Triskelion was partially destroyed by the Liberators, whose super-soldiers scuttled the S.H.I.E.L.D. The Avengers are a team of superheroes appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The team made its debut in '' The Avengers'' #1 (cover-dated Sept. 1963), created by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist/co-plotter Jack Kirby. Labeled "Earth's Mightiest Heroes", the original Avengers consisted of Iron Man, Ant-Man, Hulk, Thor and the Wasp. Captain America was discovered trapped in ice in issue #4, and joined the group after they revived him. The Illuminati are a fictional secret society group of superheroes appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The characters joined forces and secretly work behind the scenes. The Illuminati was established to exist (via story retcon) in their first published appearance in '' New Avengers'' #7 (July 2005), written by Brian Michael Bendis. The Infinity Gems (originally referred to as Soul Gems and later as Infinity Stones) are six fictional gems appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, named after and embodying various aspects of existence.
