Black Gaming, LLC was a casino holding company that owned the CasaBlanca Resort and the Virgin River Casino in Mesquite, Nevada. It also owned the former Mesquite Star hotel-casino, which the company operated as a non-gaming convention center. CasaBlanca is a hotel, casino, and RV park located in Mesquite, Nevada. The resort, originally known as Players Island, was opened by Players International on June 29, 1995. After struggling financially, the resort was sold to Randy Black Sr., who renamed it as the CasaBlanca in July 1997. The resort, located on , includes 472 rooms, 24 timeshare units and a 45-space RV park. History Players Island The property was previously occupied by farmland, owned by Bryan Hafen. In May 1994, Hafen sold the site to Players International. A month later, the company announced plans to build a hotel-casino on the land. Mesquite is a city in Clark County, Nevada, United States adjacent to the Arizona state line and northeast of Las Vegas on Interstate 15. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 20,471. Rising Star Sports Ranch
Rising Star Sports Ranch Resort is a hotel resort and sports facility in Mesquite, Nevada. It originally began construction in 1996, as the Mesquite Star hotel-casino. Construction was delayed because of financial issues, but it began to pick up heavily in October 1997. The Mesquite Star opened on July 1, 1998, although owner NevStar Gaming faced further financial problems and filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in December 1999. The Mesquite Star closed in March 2000, followed by a series of legal issues. It was purchased by Black Gaming, Virgin River Casino Corporation, which later operated the facility without a casino as the Virgin River Convention Center. Summerlin is a master-planned community in the Las Vegas Valley of Southern Nevada. It lies at the edge of the Spring Mountains and Red Rock Canyon to the west; it is partly within the official city limits of Las Vegas and partly within unincorporated Clark County. Oasis (hotel And Casino)
Oasis was a hotel and casino located on of land at 897 West Mesquite Boulevard in Mesquite, Nevada, adjacent to Interstate 15. William Redd opened the resort as the Peppermill Resort in 1976, and later renamed it as Si Redd's Oasis. Until 1990, the Oasis was the only casino in Mesquite. In 2001, Redd sold the Oasis to Randy Black Sr. and Black Gaming. Portions of the Oasis were closed in December 2008, due to financial losses. The Oasis' casino was closed in 2010, although the hotel was still used for overflow guests at Black Gaming's other Mesquite casinos. The Oasis was demolished in 2013.
