Black Drawing Chalks
Black Drawing Chalks is a Brazilian rock band from Goiânia, Goiás, Brazil, formed in 2005, by a group of graphic design students. History Black Drawing Chalks began with Victor Rocha and Douglas Castro, which were working and studying together, added to Castro’s brother, Denis, in 2005. By that time, Rocha used to share the vocal tracks with Marco Bauer, who decided to leave the band in 2007, after recording their first album. Bauer was replaced by Renato Cunha on the guitar. The name of the band refers to a German brand of writing tools. In 2007 they released their first album, ''Big Deal''. After the release, the band started to play gigs around Brazil and played along with bands like Nashville Pussy, The Datsuns, Motörhead and Eagles of Death Metal. Goiânia (; ) is the capital and largest city of the Brazilian state of Goiás. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the garage, psychedelic and blues rock movements. Stoner Rock
Stoner rock, also known as stoner metal or stoner doom, is a rock music fusion genre that combines elements of doom metal with psychedelic rock and acid rock. The genre emerged during the early 1990s and was pioneered foremost by Kyuss and Sleep. Characteristics Stoner rock is typically slow-to-mid tempo and features a heavily distorted, groove-laden bass-heavy sound, melodic vocals, and "retro" production. Due to the similarities between stoner and sludge metal, there is often a crossover between the two genres. This hybrid has traits of both styles, but generally lacks stoner metal's laid back atmosphere and its usage of psychedelia. Nashville Pussy is an American rock band from Atlanta, Georgia. Initially called Hell's Half-Acre, the band's name comes from Ted Nugent's introduction to "Wang Dang Sweet Poontang" on the ''Double Live Gonzo'' album. Following the initial 1997 breakup of Kentucky cowpunk band Nine Pound Hammer, guitarist Blaine Cartwright formed Nashville Pussy where he would take up vocal duties in addition to guitar. The Datsuns are a hard rock band from Cambridge, New Zealand, formed in 1998. Founding mainstays are Rudolf "Dolf" de Borst on vocals and bass guitar, and Christian Livingstone and Phil Somervell, both on guitar.
