BlackBerry is a line of wireless handheld devices first introduced in 1996 and manufactured by the Canadian company BlackBerry, formerly known as Research In Motion (RIM). Early pager models These two-way pager models had thumb keyboards, with a thumbwheel for scrolling its monochrome text display. General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) is a packet oriented mobile data standard on the 2G and 3G cellular communication network's global system for mobile communications (GSM).
