Blace Gaston Alexander Brown (born May 29, 1996) is an American gridiron football cornerback who is a free agent. He played college football at Troy. He is the nephew of Heisman Trophy winner Herschel Walker. Early life and education Blace Brown was born on May 29, 1996, in Conyers, Georgia. He went to high school at Cherokee High School. Brown went to college at Troy. He was redshirted in 2015. He had 6 interceptions in 2016. In 2017, he was named to the First Team All-Sun belt with 5 interceptions. Brown tore his ACL in their conference championship game at Arkansas State later that year. He played in all 12 games and had 44 tackles in his senior year. He finished the year with second-team all-Sun Belt honors. Professional career After going undrafted in the 2019 NFL Draft, Brown was invited to the San Francisco 49ers rookie minicamp for tryouts, but he was not signed to a contract. The Troy Trojans football program represents Troy University at the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) level, where it has competed since 2001. The football program joined the Sun Belt Conference in 2004. The current head football coach is Jon Sumrall. Troy has won 22 conference championships, with seven in the Sun Belt Conference. The Trojans play home games at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Troy, Alabama. History Early history (1909–1965) Troy University has fielded a football team continuously since 1946. Prior to that year, the team was fielded with many interruptions from 1909 to 1942. Eight years were skipped from 1913 to 1920 due to lack of participation and later World War I, while the Wall Street Crash of 1929 kept the team from playing that year.
