Bjørn Kjos
Bjørn Kjos (born 18 July 1946) is a Norwegian aviator, lawyer, and business magnate. He is best known as the founder and CEO of Norwegian Air Shuttle, briefly Scandinavia's largest airline, and Europe's third largest low-cost airline. Early life and education Kjos was born and grew up in Sokna in Ringerike. In 1953, his father Ola started the airline Norsk Skogbruksfly, and bought a Piper Cub. After serving as a paratrooper with the Norwegian Army, Kjos enrolled at the Norwegian Air Force Academy. He became a trained pilot in the Royal Norwegian Air Force during two years of training in Mississippi and Arizona in the United States, and flew Lockheed F-104 Starfighter and Northrop F-5 from 1969 to 1975. Upon returning to Norway he applied for work at the Scandinavian Airlines System. Since they did not need any new pilots, Kjos started studying law at the University of Oslo. Sokna
Sokna is a small village located between Hønefoss and Krøderen in the municipality of Ringerike, in the county of Buskerud, Norway. Its population is 543. Location Sokna is located in the valley of Soknedalen, between the Sogna and Verkenselva rivers. Sogna is a small river that starts at the end of Lake Sognevannet in Strømsoddbygda at the top of the valley of Sokndalen and empties into Tyrifjorden. The Verkenselva flows into the Sogna just southeast of Sokna. Norwegian National Road 7 (''RV 7'') runs through the village, as does the Bergen Line which extends between Hønefoss and Hallingdal, although rail trains no longer stop at Sokna. Sokna is situated close to large open forested areas including Holleia, Brekkebygda and Strømsoddbygda as well as the Ådalsfjella mountain range. The Boeing 737 Classic is a series of narrow-body airliners produced by Boeing Commercial Airplanes, the second generation of the Boeing 737 series of aircraft. The Fokker 50 is a turboprop-powered airliner, designed as an improved version of the successful Fokker F27 Friendship. The Fokker 60 is a stretched freighter version of the Fokker 50. Busy Bee was an airline which operated in Norway between 1966 and 1992. Entirely based around wet lease, it conducted a mix of regional services for larger airlines and the military, as well as corporate, ''ad hoc'' and inclusive tour charters. Established as Busy Bee Air Service A/S by Bjørn G. Braathen, the airline initially mostly operated corporate charters, using among other aircraft a Learjet 23 and later three Hawker Siddeley HS.125.
