Björn Werner
Björn Werner (; born August 30, 1990) is a German-born former American football defensive end. He played college football at Florida State, where he earned All-American recognition, and was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL) in the first round of the 2013 NFL draft. Early years Werner grew up in the Berlin neighborhoods of Wedding and Reinickendorf. He originally played for the Berlin Adler, before attending Salisbury School in Salisbury, Connecticut, as an exchange student in 2007, as part of an exchange program organized by Pat Steenberge. He had 54 tackles, including 24 for losses, 12 sacks and two fumble recoveries in just eight games, but returned to Germany for his junior year. Defensive end (DE) is a defensive position in the sport of gridiron football. This position has designated the players at each end of the defensive line, but changes in formation (American football), formations over the years have substantially changed how the position is played. Będzin
Będzin (; also ''Bendzin'' in English; german: Bendzin; yi, בענדין, Bendin) is a city in the Dąbrowa Basin, in southern Poland. Poland National American Football Team
The Poland National American Football team represents Poland in international American football competitions. The team is controlled by the Polish American Football Association. The team was formed in 2012, consisting mainly of Polish American Football League players and coaching staff. In addition to players from the Polish league, players from the York Lions, Braunschweig Lions, Kouvola Indians and Kristiansand Gladiators have also participated in games. Pat Steenberge
Patrick W. Steenberge is a former American football quarterback who played at Cathedral Preparatory School (Erie, Pennsylvania) and at the University of Notre Dame (South Bend, Indiana). He is the owner and operator of Global Football, which organizes competitive events for young amateur athletes worldwide. Global Football is the largest exporter of American football, having produced games and events in 28 countries since 1996. He was previously Director of Corporate Development for the National Cutting Horse Association in Fort Worth, Texas. Following the graduation of Joe Theismann from Notre Dame, Steenberge was named the starting quarterback at the beginning of the 1971 season. Reinickendorf () is a locality () of Berlin in the borough () of Reinickendorf. It had a population of 83,972 in 2020. Geography The locality is situated in the south-western side of its district. Wedding (german: der Wedding; ) is a locality in the borough of Mitte, Berlin, Germany and was a separate borough in the north-western inner city until it was fused with Tiergarten and Mitte in Berlin's 2001 administrative reform. The 2013 NFL Draft was the 78th annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible football players. The draft, which is officially called the "NFL Player Selection Meeting", was held at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on April 25 through April 27.
