Rosella Bjornson
Rosella Marie Bjornson, (born July 13, 1947) is a retired Canadian airline pilot, who was the first woman in North America to be hired as a First Officer for a Canadian airline and the first woman member of the Canadian Air Line Pilots Association, International. Education and career In Vulcan, Alberta, Bjornson attended Champion School and County Central High School. Rosella went to the University of Calgary after graduating from high school, where she worked to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Geology and Geography. Bjornson spent her summers working on her Commercial License and Instructor Rating. In July 1964, her parents gave her a birthday present of a flight lesson at the Air West Flight School in Lethbridge, Alberta. Craig Bjornson
Craig Michael Bjornson (born February 14, 1969) is an American former professional baseball player and coach who was most recently the bullpen coach for the New York Mets of Major League Baseball (MLB). Bjornson previously coached for the Houston Astros and Boston Red Sox. Career Bjornson attended Tucson High School in Tucson, Arizona, and Nicholls State University, where he played college baseball for the Nicholls State Colonels baseball team. He signed as an undrafted free agent with the Houston Astros in 1991. He played in the Astros' minor league organization as a pitcher until 1993, pitching for the Gulf Coast Astros, Burlington Astros, Asheville Tourists, Auburn Astros, and Quad Cities River Bandits. Kristjan Valdimar "Val" Bjornson (August 29, 1906 – March 10, 1987) was an American writer, newspaper editor, and politician who served as State Treasurer for more than two decades. Bjornson was born in Minneota, Minnesota of Icelandic descent. In World War II, he served in Navy intelligence, stationed in Iceland. Besides English, he was fluent in Icelandic, Finnish, Danish, Swedish, and Norwegian. He was part owner of the '' Minneota Mascot'' newspaper and an associate editor at the '' St. Paul Pioneer Press''. Eric Thomas Bjornson (born December 15, 1971) is a former American football tight end in the National Football League for the Dallas Cowboys and New England Patriots. He was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the fourth round of the 1995 NFL Draft. He played college football at University of Washington. Oscar Ferdinand Bjornson (February 14, 1906 in Glenboro, Manitoba – August 13, 1972) was a politician in Manitoba, Canada. He served as a Progressive Conservative member of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba from 1959 to 1969. The son of Magnus Bjornson, Bjornson was educated at the Kelvin Technical High School, and worked as an accountant and service manager. In 1925, he married Idella Moland. He was an officer of Lavoie Motors Ltd. in Lac du Bonnet. Bjornson served for fifteen years with Ford Motor Company of Canada, and Ford Motor Company of India. Maria Elena Björnson (16 February 1949 – 13 December 2002) was a theatre designer. She was born in Paris to a Norwegian father and Romanian mother. She was the great-granddaughter of the Norwegian playwright Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson, who won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1903. She apparently died of a suspected epileptic seizure. Bjørnstjerne Martinius Bjørnson ( , ; 8 December 1832 – 26 April 1910) was a Norwegian writer who received the 1903 Nobel Prize in Literature "as a tribute to his noble, magnificent and versatile poetry, which has always been distinguished by both the freshness of its inspiration and the rare purity of its spirit". The first Norwegian Nobel laureate, he was a prolific polemicist and extremely influential in Norwegian public life and Scandinavian cultural debate. Ivar Skontorp Peersen, best known by his stage name Ivar Bjørnson (born 27 November 1977 in Etne), is a Norwegian composer/guitarist for the progressive black/viking metal band Enslaved. Biography Bjørnson is, along with Grutle Kjellson, one of only two founding members left in the current line-up of Enslaved, being only 13 years old at the time of the band's formation in 1991. Bjørnson and Grutle Kjellson performed in a death metal band called Phobia in 1989. The two decided that they wanted to form a new band in a more black metal style, and after discovering their shared fascination with Norse mythology, this set the groundwork for Enslaved.
