Bittersweet (Kasey Chambers Album)
''Bittersweet'' is the tenth studio album by Australian singer-songwriter Kasey Chambers. It was released in August 2014 and debuted at No. 2 in Australia, making it her sixth top 5 album in Australia. It was the first album of Chambers' not to be produced by her brother Nash Chambers. The album was produced instead by Nick DiDia. Kasey says for this record she needed something different: “I wanted to have an experience making a record that I had never had before. I wanted to challenge myself and I wanted to be excited.” DiDia had previously produced albums for Pearl Jam, Rage Against the Machine, Bruce Springsteen, The Wallflowers, The Living End, and Powderfinger. It is also Chambers' first album since she split from husband Shane Nicholson. Kasey Chambers
Kasey Chambers (born 4 June 1976) is an Australian country singer-songwriter and musician born in Mount Gambier. She is the daughter of fellow musicians, Diane and Bill Chambers, and the younger sister of musician and producer, Nash Chambers. All four were members of family country music group in Dead Ringer Band, in Bowral, New South Wales, from 1992 to 1998, with Chambers starting her solo career thereafter. Five of her twelve studio albums have reached No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart, ''Barricades & Brickwalls'' (September 2001), ''Wayward Angel'' (May 2004), ''Carnival'' (August 2006) ''Rattlin' Bones'' (April 2008) and '' Dragonfly'' (January 2017). The Living End
The Living End are an Australian punk rockabilly band from Melbourne, formed in 1994. Since 2002, the line-up consists of Chris Cheney (vocals, guitar), Scott Owen (double bass, vocals), and Andy Strachan (drums). The band rose to fame in 1997 after the release of their Extended Play, EP ''Second Solution / Prisoner of Society'', which peaked at No. 4 on the Australian ARIA Charts, ARIA Singles Chart. Bernard Fanning
Bernard Fanning (born 15 August 1969) is an Australian musician and singer-songwriter. He was the lead vocalist of Queensland alternative rock band Powderfinger from its formation in 1989. Born and raised in Toowong, Brisbane, Fanning received piano lessons from his mother at an early age. At the age of 15, while he attended St Joseph's College, Gregory Terrace, he began writing music. Shane Nicholson is an Australian singer-songwriter from Brisbane. He has released 11 albums, both in Australia and internationally, and has won 3 ARIA Awards, 15 Golden Guitars, and 2 APRA Awards.
