Alexandre Bisson
Alexandre Bisson (9 April 1848 – 27 January 1912) was a French playwright, vaudeville creator, and novelist. Born in Briouze, Orne in Lower Normandy, he was successful in his native France as well as in the United States. Remembered as a significant creator of Parisian vaudeville, in collaboration with Edmond Gondinet, Bisson's 1881 three-act comedy ''Un Voyage d'agrément'' was performed at the Théâtre du Vaudeville in Paris. Of his works, Bisson is best remembered for his play ''Madame X'', which was performed in 1910 both in Paris and on Broadway with Sarah Bernhardt in the leading role. Over the years, the play would be revived for Broadway three times and nine '' Madame X'' motion pictures in several languages have been filmed. The first silent screen adaptation was in 1916 and the latest in 2000. Karina Anna Bisson (born 1966) is an international lawn and indoor bowler representing Jersey. Bowls career In 1997 under her maiden name Karina Horman she won triples silver medal at the Atlantic Bowls Championships. She then just missed out on a medal in the singles at the 2000 World Outdoor Bowls Championship after losing to the legendary Karen Murphy of Australia in the bronze medal play off by a score of 21–4. Thomas Arthur Bisson, who wrote as T. A. Bisson (New York City, 1900–1979) was an American political writer, journalist, and government official who specialized in East Asian politics and economics. In the 1920s and 1930s, he worked for the Foreign Policy Association and the Institute for Pacific Relations and wrote sympathetically about the Communist Party of China. He served in the American government during World War II and then was an officer in the Occupation of Japan. He taught at University of California, Berkeley in the early 1950s but was let go after he came under criticism for his support of the Chinese communists and because of accusations that he had been a wartime spy for the Soviet Union. Count Raoul du Bisson (11 January 1812 – 27 February 1890) was a French aristocrat, adventurer and ''agent provocateur''. Louis Bisson, was a Canadian aviator. He was born in 1909 in Hull, Quebec (now Gatineau, Quebec). He died on 19 September 1997. He flew for the Royal Air Force Ferry Command during World War II. Louis Bisson received the King's Commendation for Valuable Service in the Air on 11 June 1942. He was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire on 1 January 1944. He was appointed a Member of the Order of Canada on 23 June 1980. He was inducted in the Québec Air and Space Hall of Fame on 21 October 2002. Louis-Auguste Bisson
Louis-Auguste Bisson (; 1814–1876) was a 19th-century French photographer. Bisson opened a photographic studio in early 1841. Soon after, his brother Auguste-Rosalie Bisson (1826–1900) entered into partnership with him. Their studio was in the La Madeleine, Paris, La Madeleine in Paris, and they became famous as the Bisson Brothers. In 1860 they accompanied Napoleon III on his visit to Savoy. The pair produced remarkable images of the local scenery. Having received an encouraging response to his work, the following year Auguste ascended Mont Blanc, taking with him twenty-five Porter (carrier), porters to carry his equipment.
