Biskitts
''The Biskitts'' is an American animated television series produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions from 1983 to 1984 and aired on CBS. The series lasted for only one season; only 13 episodes were produced. '' Shirt Tales'' replaced the show in its time slot the following year. ''The Biskitts'' returned to that same time slot in March 1985 but only aired reruns in the remainder of that season. Following the series' retirement from CBS, like many other cartoons, it was acquired by the Armed Forces Network and shown throughout much of the 1980s, mainly as entertainment for children of deployed American servicemen in Asia and Europe. Kip King
Kip King (born Jerome Charles Kattan; August 11, 1937 – July 15, 2010) was an American film, television and voice actor. He was the father of American television sketch comedian Chris Kattan. Life and career King was born Jerome Charles Kattan in Chicago, Illinois, the son of an Iraqi-Jewish father and a Polish-Jewish mother. His father, who was from Baghdad, was a letter carrier for T.E. Lawrence. King was probably best known for voicing Tailor Smurf in the 1980s television cartoon series The Smurfs. Long associated with Hanna-Barbera, King provided the voice of Shecky in ''The Biskitts'' (1983). Kenneth Mars
Kenneth Mars (April 4, 1935 – February 12, 2011) was an American actor. He appeared in two Mel Brooks films: as the deranged Nazi playwright Franz Liebkind in '' The Producers'' (1967) and Police Inspector Hans Wilhelm Friedrich Kemp in ''Young Frankenstein'' (1974). He also appeared in Peter Bogdanovich's '' What's Up Doc?'' (1972), and Woody Allen's ''Radio Days'' (1987), and ''Shadows and Fog'' (1991). Shirt Tales
''Shirt Tales'' are characters that were created in 1980 by greeting card designer Janet Elizabeth Manco and were featured on Hallmark Cards greeting cards. The characters were adapted into a 1982-1985 animated series for television, by Hanna-Barbera Productions, which aired on NBC. Cards Hallmark Cards released the homonymous line of greeting cards with animal characters wearing T-shirts upon which was a message. Those cards were among Hallmark's best sellers at that time, which led the company to team with Hanna-Barbera Productions to adapt the ''Shirt Tales'' into a Saturday morning cartoon, which premiered on NBC on September 18, 1982. The card line remained, but it faded shortly after the show left broadcast television in 1985. Career Holt's first film role came in 1950, acting as Octavius Caesar in ''Julius Caesar''. Richard Beals (March 16, 1927 – May 29, 2012) was an American actor, who performed many voices in his career, which spanned the period from the early 1950s into the 21st century. Joaquin Rudolfo Zamora (March 26, 1910 – July 29, 1989) was a Mexican-American animator and a prolific animation director. His credits include ''The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show'', ''The Jetsons'', ''The Smurfs'', ''The Biskitts'', ''Peanuts'', and many others. Career Zamora was born in Mexico City, Mexico, but raised in the United States. As a young adult, he read a help wanted ad in the local newspaper seeking a male animator at Pat Sullivan's studio. Despite Zamora having no prior experience in the field, he was intrigued and applied. His test entailed tracing a photo of ''Felix the Cat'', and Zamora was hired after placing second among three men. Zamora was still employed at Pat Sullivan's in 1928.
