Birdz (TV Series)
''Birdz'' is an animated television series created by Larry Jacobs, who later worked on ''Cyberchase''. It was produced by Nelvana Limited in association with CBS Television and STVE. The show was first aired on October 3, 1998, on CBS with the final episode's airing on January 2, 1999. Later, it was shown in Scotland in 2001, aired on Scottish Television and Grampian TV (now ''STV North'') - now both known as STV. The show was returned from 2015 as part of the "''Weans' World''" block on STV Glasgow and STV Edinburgh. Plot The show is about an anthropomorphic 13-year-old bird named Eddie Storkowitz, who films his everyday life in aspiration of becoming a filmmaker. Animation
Animation is a method by which still figures are manipulated to appear as moving images. In traditional animation, images are drawn or painted by hand on transparent celluloid sheets to be photographed and exhibited on film. ''Disney Adventures'' (also short-formed as ''D.A.'') was an American children's entertainment and educational magazine published twelve (later ten) times per year by Disney Publishing Worldwide, a subsidiary of Disney Consumer Products, a unit of The Walt Disney Company. Tubi is an American over-the-top content platform and ad-supported streaming service owned by Fox Corporation. The service was launched on April 1, 2014, and is based in Los Angeles, California. In January 2021, Tubi reached 33 million monthly active users. As of January 2022, Tubi has 51 million monthly active users. History Tubi was founded by Farhad Massoudi and Thomas Ahn Hicks of AdRise in San Francisco, launching in 2014 as a free service. Omni Broadcasting Network
The Omni Broadcasting Network was a small over-the-air broadcast television network in the United States (not to be confused with the Canadian broadcast system Omni Television). The company's motto was "Less Edge and More Entertaining". Omni's flagship station was low-power station KSSY-LP. The network's reach was reported as 50 million households, according to a quote in ''Variety''. History The Omni Broadcasting Network was incorporated in 2001. Its parent company, OBN Holdings, produced films as well as television. OBN's target demographic was adults age 25 and older during prime time, and ages 8 to 13 on weekend mornings. Richard Jones (born c. 1957) is a Canadian voice actor, voice director, writer and content developer. Since 1982, he has worked with Fox, Disney, Universal, Hanna-Barbera, Alphanim, Cinar and Nelvana. Jones has been nominated for a Gemini Award twice in 1988 and 2003. Christopher John Wiggins (January 13, 1931 – February 19, 2017) was an English-born Canadian actor. Career He started out as a banker in his home country before he began his acting career in Canada, where he moved in 1952.
