Bird (2017 Film)
''Bird'' (russian: Птица, Ptitsa) is a 2017 Russian musical drama film, directorial debut of Ksenia Baskakova. The film's title is a pun; the lead characters surname is Ptitsyn, which is similar to the Russian word, "Ptitsa" (Птица), meaning "bird". Plot All her life, teenage girl Katya (Evdokia Malevskaya) has to change hospitals because of having tuberculosis. Therefore, Katya has practically no friends, and the girl sees practically nothing except for the hospital walls. One day, a popular rock musician named Oleg (Ivan Okhlobystin) is admitted next room. The girl and the musician develop a close friendship which is to change both of their lives. Ivan Ivanovich Okhlobystin (russian: Ива́н Ива́нович Охлобы́стин; born 22 July 1966) is a Russian actor, director, screenwriter, and former Orthodox priest. He is currently defrocked by the ministry of the Russian Orthodox Church and barred from the priesthood. He is the creative director of the company Baon. Early life Ivan Ivanovich Okhlobystin was born on 22 July 1966 in the recreation center "Polenovo" (Zaoksky District of the Tula Oblast), where his father, Ivan Ivanovich Okhlobystin, was a military doctor, and a participant in World War II. He was then 62 years old, and worked as the head physician at Polenovo. His mother, Albina Ivanovna Stavitskaya, (Okhlobystina by her first marriage) (maiden name Belyaeva), was an engineer-economist. She was then a 19-year-old student. Igor Ivanovich (''Garik'') Sukachov (russian: И́горь Ива́нович (Га́рик) Сукачё́в; 1 December 1959) is a Russian musician, singer-songwriter, poet, actor, film director and TV presenter. Career Igor Ivanovich Sukachov was born in the Moscow suburb of Myakinino (now Tushino). His father fought in World War II, having fought throughout the war from Moscow to Berlin. His mother was a Nazi concentration camp survivor. Having graduated the railway technical college, Sukachyov became a transport engineer and even took part in designing the Tushino railway station.
