Billy Rogers (rugby League)
Billy Rogers (born 29 March 1989) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who has played as a . Playing career As a youngster Rogers played junior rugby league for Gympie Devils. Rogers then a teenager signed with the Melbourne Storm in 2007, playing in the NYC until 2009, winning a NYC title in 2009 as captain of the Storm. In 2011, Rogers signed a two-year deal with the Parramatta Eels. He made his NRL debut in round 3 of the 2011 NRL season, against the South Sydney Rabbitohs. He soon was released from his contract, leaving for personal reasons. After leaving Parramatta, Rogers signed with the Gympie Devils, winning two premierships with them. Rogers later played in the United States with the Jacksonville Axemen. In 2015, Rogers played for the Northern Outlaws who compete in the Sunshine Coast Gympie Rugby League competition. Underbank Rangers are a rugby league team based in Holmfirth near Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. They play in the Premier Division of the National Conference League. Pennine League
The Pennine Amateur Rugby League, or Pennine League is a rugby league competition for amateur open-age clubs that runs from September to April. The clubs are drawn from West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and the east of Lancashire. The league is run by the British Amateur Rugby League Association (BARLA). Teams from the Pennine League can apply for election to the National Conference League if they meet minimum criteria. History Following the formation of British Amateur Rugby League Association in 1973, local District Leagues got together and pooled their resources. The Pennine league was formed by a merger of Bradford, Halifax, Huddersfield, Oldham and Rochdale districts. The Sunshine Coast Gympie Rugby League premiership is the local rugby league competition on Australia's Sunshine Coast. Through SCGRL Limited it serves as the governing body for rugby league on the Sunshine Coast. History The Sunshine Coast Gympie Rugby League started life as the North Coast Rugby League in 1920 after all of the clubs comprising the corresponding rugby union competition changed codes en masse.
