Billy Mercer (footballer Born 1969)
William Mercer (born 22 May 1969 in Liverpool, England) is an English former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He was most recently the goalkeeping coach at Burnley. He is currently with Everton on a temporary basis. Playing career Mercer was born at Cantril Farm in 1969 and joined local club Liverpool as a trainee and turned professional at the age of 18. He stayed at Liverpool for another 18 months before being released and signing for Rotherham United on 16 February 1989. On 15 April 1989, Mercer was in attendance at Hillsborough for the FA Cup semi-final between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest, where 97 Liverpool fans died in what became known as the Hillsborough disaster. Mercer was in the upper tier of the Leppings Lane end, above where the fatal crush occurred. Wrexham ( ; cy, Wrecsam; ) is a city and the administrative centre of Wrexham County Borough in Wales. Steve Stone (footballer)
Steven Brian Stone (born 20 August 1971) is an English football coach and former professional player. As a player, he was a right midfielder who notably played in the Premier League for Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa and Portsmouth. Whilst with Forest he won the First Division title and played in the UEFA Cup. He also played in the 2000 FA Cup Final for Villa. He finished his career with a brief spell in the Football League with Leeds United. He was capped nine times by England, scoring twice. He was part of England's Euro 96 team and made three appearances during the tournament. Following retirement, Stone moved into coaching and worked for Newcastle United from July 2010 to June 2015 in a variety of different roles for both the first and reserve team. Ian Simon Woan (born 14 December 1967) is an English football coach and former professional footballer who is assistant manager of Premier League side Everton. As a player, he was a left winger who notably played in the Premier League for Nottingham Forest, where he overall played a decade at the City Ground, winning two promotions and playing in the UEFA Cup. Sean Dyche
Sean Mark Dyche (; born 28 June 1971) is an English professional football manager and former player who was most recently the manager of Burnley. During his playing career, Dyche played as a centre-back, making his professional debut in 1990 and representing Chesterfield – whom he captained and scored for in an FA Cup semi-final. Other teams he has played for include Bristol City, Luton Town, Millwall, Watford and Northampton Town. He was promoted with three of his six clubs. Russ Wilcox
Russell "Russ" Wilcox (born 25 March 1964) is an English former professional footballer who is currently manager of Farsley Celtic. Wilcox played as a defender between 1980 and 2003 and spent the final six years of his career with Scunthorpe United which is where he began working under Brian Laws. Wilcox would act as Laws' assistant at Glanford Park from 2003 to 2006 before following him on to further jobs at Sheffield Wednesday and Burnley. The pair returned to Scunthorpe in 2012 and in November 2013 Wilcox succeeded Laws as manager of the club, taking Scunthorpe to promotion. A poor start to the following year's campaign saw Wilcox sacked from Scunthorpe and he was then recruited by York City. Another poor start to a season saw Wilcox sacked by York City in October 2015. Brian Laws
Brian Laws (born 14 October 1961) is an English former professional footballer and manager. Playing as a defender, Laws made over 100 appearances for each of Burnley, Middlesbrough, and Nottingham Forest. In 1994, Laws became player-manager of Grimsby Town before taking a similar position with Scunthorpe United in 1997. For the next nine years, Laws served as manager of Scunthorpe, guiding them to promotion twice. In 2006, he accepted the managerial role at Sheffield Wednesday, lasting three years in the job during which time Burnley approached him for their managers job when Steve Cotterill left, but were put off by the compensation demanded by Wednesday. Wednesday later struggled with financial problems and he was dismissed in December 2009 after a poor run of results. Sean McAuley (born 23 June 1972) is an English football manager and former player who serves as the interim manager for Major League Soccer club Minnesota United FC. Born in England, he made one appearance for the Scotland U21 national team. Playing career Sheffield-born McAuley began his football career with Manchester United, signing on with the club as an apprentice in July 1988. He turned professional on 21 June 1990, but was sold to St Johnstone for £80,000 two years later, without having made a single appearance for the United first team. Paul Whitehead Sturrock (born 10 October 1956) is a Scottish former association football, football coach and former player. As a player, Sturrock spent his entire senior career with Dundee United, making more than five hundred appearances between 1974 and 1989. Chris Turner (footballer Born 1958)
Christopher Robert Turner (born 15 September 1958) is an English former footballer and who is now director of football at Wakefield. He made 589 league and cup appearances in a 19-year career as a professional in the English Football League, and then took charge of a further 469 matches as a manager. A goalkeeper, he began his career at hometown club Sheffield Wednesday, winning the club's Player of the Year award in his debut season in 1977–78. He then won a place on the PFA Team of the Year the following season, and also played on loan at Lincoln City, before being sold to Sunderland for £80,000 in July 1979.
