Billy Fitzpatrick
Billy Fitzpatrick (born 6 April 1954 in Johnstown, County Kilkenny, Ireland) is an Irish former sportsperson.() He played hurling with his local club the Fenians and was a member of the Kilkenny senior inter-county team from 1974 until 1986.() Fitzpatrick captained Kilkenny to the All-Ireland title in 1975. Biography Fitzpatrick was born in Johnstown, County Kilkenny in 1954. From an early age he showed great skill at the game of hurling. He was educated locally and later attended St. Kieran's College in Kilkenny city, a secondary school and noted nursery for young hurling talent. It was here that his hurling skills were further developed. Fitzpatrick first tasted success when he won an All-Ireland Colleges’ title with Kieran’s in 1971. Ray Cummins
Maurice Raymond "Ray" Cummins (born 9 November 1948) is an Irish former hurler and Gaelic footballer whose dual league and championship career with the Cork senior teams spanned fifteen years from 1967 to 1982. Born in Ballinlough on the south side of Cork city, Cummins was introduced to hurling by his father, Willie, a two-time All-Ireland medal winner with Cork in the minor grade. He developed his skills at Coláiste Chríost Rí while simultaneously coming to prominence at underage levels with the Blackrock club, before later playing with University College Cork. Nicky Orr
Nicholas "Nicky" Orr (born 23 February 1947) is an Irish retired hurler whose league and championship career with the Kilkenny senior team spanned nine seasons from 1969 to 1976. Born near Johnstown, County Kilkenny, Orr first played competitive hurling during his schooling at Johnstown national school. He began his club hurling career with the St. Finbarr's team, before later joining the Fenians club when it was formed in 1968. Orr won a county junior championship medal that year, which guaranteed promotion to the senior ranks the following year. An All-Ireland runner-up in 1975, he also won one Leinster medal and five county senior championship medals. Philip Francis "Fan" Larkin (born 5 October 1941) is an Irish former hurler who played as a right corner-back at senior level for the Kilkenny county team. Born in Kilkenny, Larkin first played competitive hurling during his schooling at Kilkenny City Vocational School. The Gaelic Athletic Association-Gaelic Players' Association All Stars Awards (often known simply as the All Stars) are awarded annually to the best player in each of the 15 playing positions in Gaelic football and hurling.
