Billy Burnikell
William Frederick Burnikell (9 December 1910 – May 1980) was an English professional football player and manager. His surname was also spelt Burnicle. Career Born in Southwick, Burnikell played as a left half for Lincoln City, Bradford City and Aldershot. For Lincoln City, he made 25 appearances in the Football League. For Bradford City, he made 52 appearances in the Football League, scoring two goals; he also made 3 FA Cup appearances. He later became a football manager and was in charge of Halifax Town between April and December 1956. He also managed Swedish clubs Landskrona BoIS, Helsingborg, Örebro SK and Degerfors IF. Southwick, Sunderland
Southwick is a former village and now a suburb on the north banks of the River Wear in the city of Sunderland in the county of Tyne and Wear, historically in County Durham. From 1894 to 1928, Southwick was administered by the Southwick-on-Wear Urban District Council, before being absorbed by Sunderland. Southwick borders with Castletown and Hylton Red House to the west, Monkwearmouth to the east, greenbelt farmland and the suburb of Carley Hill to the north, and the Wear to the south although the Queen Alexandra Bridge links Southwick to Pallion and central Sunderland. Helsingborgs IF (full name Helsingborgs Idrottsförening), commonly referred to as HIF (), is a Swedish professional football club located in Helsingborg. They play in the Swedish first tier, Allsvenskan, following promotion in the 2021 Superettan season via play-offs.
