''Bill Wyman'' is the third album by Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman. It was released in 1982 by A&M Records. The album reached number 55 on the UK album charts. Unlike his previous albums, ''Bill Wyman'' is largely in the synth-pop style. The song "(Si Si) Je Suis un Rock Star" was the biggest hit single off the album. The album features guest musicians Brian Setzer, Slim Jim Phantom, Chris Rea, Dave Mattacks and Terry Taylor. Critical reception In a retrospective review, AllMusic rated the album four stars out of five. They noted "(Si Si) Je Suis un Rock Star", "Come Back Suzanne" and "A New Fashion" as the best songs. They praised the album: "Instead of utilizing the all-star group of backup musicians that dominated his previous solo outings, Bill Wyman found the veteran rocker handling much of the instrumentation himself, with only a rhythm section and a few guest stars pitching in. Bill Wyman
William George Wyman (né Perks; born 24 October 1936) is an English musician who achieved international fame as the bassist for the Rolling Stones from 1962 until 1993. In 1989, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of The Rolling Stones. Since 1997, he has recorded and toured with his own band, Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings. He has worked producing records and films, and has scored music for films and television. Wyman has kept a journal since he was a child during World War II, and has published seven books. He is also a photographer, and his works have been displayed in galleries around the world. Wyman became an amateur archaeologist and enjoys metal detecting. Terry Taylor (musician)
Terence Martin "Terry" Taylor (born 28 August 1948) is an English guitarist, arranger and songwriter, who started to become known in the latter half of the 1960s as a band member of the group The End, who had a few singles and also a 1969 album release called Introspection. They were produced by Bill Wyman and the album included Charlie Watts playing tabla on the song Shades of Orange. Taylor was one of the members that then played in the follow-up band Tucky Buzzard, who were produced by Bill Wyman. Career In 1979, after the ITV strike caused a curtailment in that year's autumn term schedules, Terry Taylor's guitar tunes "The May Dance" and "Les Trois Enfants", were used as interval tracks as an accompaniment for the schools programmes interval slides. The Official Charts (legal name: The Official UK Charts Company Limited) is a British inter-professional organization that compiles various "official" record charts in the United Kingdom, Ireland and France. In the United Kingdom, its charts include ones for singles, albums and films, with the data compiled from a mixture of downloads, purchases (of physical media) and streaming. Kent Music Report
The Kent Music Report was a weekly record chart of Australian music singles and albums which was compiled by music enthusiast David Kent from May 1974 through to January 1999. The chart was re-branded the Australian Music Report (AMR) in July 1987. From June 1988, the Australian Recording Industry Association, which had been using the top 50 portion of the report under licence since mid-1983, chose to produce their own listing as the ARIA Charts. Before the Kent Report, ''Go-Set'' magazine published weekly Top-40 Singles from 1966, and Album charts from 1970 until the magazine's demise in August 1974. Melvyn Desmond Collins (born 5 September 1947, Isle of Man) is a British saxophonist, flautist and session musician. Collins has played in several progressive rock groups, having been a member of King Crimson on two occasions (the first from 1970 to 1972 and the second from 2013 to the present day) and having played with Camel, the Alan Parsons Project, Roger Waters and Chris Squire. Lena Annie Whitehead (born 16 July 1955 in Oldham, Lancashire, England) is an English jazz trombone player. Career Whitehead learned the trombone in high school and participated in rock and jazz bands. When she was 16, she left school to become a member of a female big band led by Ivy Benson. Bruce Rowland (drummer)
Bruce Rowland (22 May 1941 – 29 June 2015) was an English rock drummer best known for his memberships of The Grease Band and folk rock band Fairport Convention. He was also a prolific session musician. Early career Rowland was born at Park Royal, Middlesex, on 22 May 1941. In 1968, he played drums on the Wynder K. Frog album "''Out of the Frying Pan''", and in 1969 joined The Grease Band, who were then Joe Cocker's backing band. He played for Cocker's performance at the Woodstock Festival, on Cocker's second album, ''Joe Cocker!'', and on the UK top ten hit single "Delta Lady".
