Bill Webster
Bill Webster is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera, '' Coronation Street'', played by Peter Armitage. The character first appeared onscreen during the episode airing on 6 February 1984 and remained in the show until 1985 when Armitage decided to leave. The character was reintroduced in 1995 but he was again written out two years later. Armitage returned once again in 2006 and appeared frequently until late-April 2010 when the character suddenly appeared only a recurring basis. It was reported in 2011 that Bill was going to be axed completely, however, he continued to make appearances on a recurring basis. His last appearance was broadcast on 29 December 2011, where Bill was in attendance at youngest granddaughter Sophie's wedding to her fiancée Sian Powers. Armitage died on 30 November 2018, therefore ruling out a future return for the character. Brooke Levi Vincent (born 4 June 1992) is an English actress, known for her portrayal of Sophie Webster in the ITV soap-opera ''Coronation Street'', which she played from 2004 to 2019. Early life Vincent was born in Audenshaw, Greater Manchester, England to Nicola Anderton, a crime scene officer for Greater Manchester Police and Anthony Vincent, a tour guide in Tenerife; her parents divorced when she was two and she was raised by her mother and stepfather, John McDermott. Christopher Quinten
Christopher Quinten (born Christopher Bell; 12 July 1957) is a British actor, best known for his role as Brian Tilsley on '' Coronation Street'', which he played from 1978 to 1989. Career Quinten started his career as a dancer in West End productions, including the Victoria Palace with Cilla Black and Jimmy Tarbuck. He turned to acting and had his first role in the 1978 film '' International Velvet'', starring Tatum O'Neal. This appearance led to small parts in television series including ''Quatermass'' and '' Hazell'', and was also noticed by the ''Coronation Street'' casting offices, who gave Ivy Tilsley, the oft-seen Baldwin's worker, a son. 1978 saw several characters making their debuts on the British Soap Opera ''Coronation Street'', including Ed Jackson, Ida Clough and Brian Tilsley, among others. Ed Jackson Thomas Edward "Ed" Jackson was one of two robbers who staged a robbery on Mike Baldwin's ( Johnny Briggs) factory.
