Bill Simas
William Anthony Simas (born November 28, 1971) is a former professional baseball pitcher. He played for the Chicago White Sox from 1995-2000. He is currently the pitching coach for the AAA Round Rock Express. Career Simas played amateur ball at St. Joseph High School and at Fresno City College. He was drafted by the California Angels in the 6th round of the 1992 MLB Draft. He remained with the Angels organization through 1995, playing with the Boise Hawks (Class A Northwest League), Cedar Rapids Kernels & Lake Elsinore Storm (Class A-Advanced California League), Midland Angels (Class AA Texas League) and Vancouver Canadians (Class AAA Pacific Coast League). On July 27, 1995 he was traded (with McKay Christensen, Andrew Lorraine and John Snyder) to the Chicago White Sox for Jim Abbott and Tim Fortugno. Rancho Cucamonga Quakes
The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes are a Minor League Baseball team of the California League and the Single-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers. They are located in Rancho Cucamonga, California, and play their home games at LoanMart Field. The franchise was founded in Lodi, California, in 1966 as members of the California League, with its home ballpark as Tony Zupo Field. Charlotte Knights
The Charlotte Knights are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League and the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. They are located in Charlotte, North Carolina, and play their home games at Truist Field, which opened in 2014 and is located in Uptown Charlotte. Timothy Shawn Fortugno (born April 11, 1962) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher and current scout, working for the New York Mets as of November 2015. Career He graduated in 1980 from Uxbridge High School (Uxbridge, Massachusetts). Fortugno is an alumnus of Golden West College and Vanguard University of Southern California. James Anthony Abbott (born September 19, 1967) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball for the California Angels, New York Yankees, Chicago White Sox, and Milwaukee Brewers, from 1989 to 1999. He was successful at the major league level despite having been born without a right hand. Abbott graduated from Flint Central High School and grew up in the East Village area of Flint, Michigan. While with the University of Michigan, he won the James E. Sullivan Award as the nation's best amateur athlete in 1987 and won a gold medal in the demonstration event at the 1988 Summer Olympics. Andrew Jason Lorraine (born August 11, 1972) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. McKay Andrew Christensen (born August 14, 1975) is a former Major League Baseball outfielder. Christensen played for three different ballclubs during his career: the Chicago White Sox (1999–2001), Los Angeles Dodgers (2001), and New York Mets (2002).
