Bill Munro
William Davidson Munro (21 June 1934 – 5 October 2023) was a Scottish football player and manager. Career Born in Glasgow on 21 June 1934, Bill Munro played for Kilmarnock, Barrow and East Stirlingshire. He was appointed manager of Clydebank, owned by the Steedman family who had previously owned East Stirlingshire while Munro was a player there. Munro guided Clydebank to promotion to the Scottish Premier Division The Scottish Football League Premier Division was, from 1975 until 1998, the top division of the Scottish Football League and the entire Scottish football league system. Stirlingshire Cup
The Stirlingshire Cup is an association football cup competition for clubs in the county of Stirlingshire, Scotland. The competition was founded in 1883 and is contested annually by senior member clubs of the Stirlingshire Football Association. The current champions are Stenhousemuir F.C. who defeated East Stirlingshire in the 2014–15 tournament final. Format The competition is a knock-out tournament contested by the six member clubs of the Stirlingshire Football Association. In the first round draw, two teams receive byes into the semi-final with the remaining four clubs paired against each other. In association football, the manager is the person who runs a football club or a national team. The Scottish Football League First Division was the second tier in the Scottish football league system between 1975 and 2013. History The First Division was introduced in 1975–76 to replace the old Scottish Football League Division Two, as the top flight of the Scottish Football League was renamed from Division One to Premier Division. In 1998, the Premier Division clubs broke away from the Scottish Football League to form the Scottish Premier League. The First Division remained the second tier of the Scottish league system, but was now the top tier of the Scottish Football League.
