Bill Garcia
Bill Garcia is an American broadcaster and a veteran of many major market radio stations in Houston, Charlotte, Cleveland and Chicago. He was one of the first Hispanic personalities to cross over into mainstream radio in major market and consistently achieved top five rankings. He has worked at many Chicago radio stations including a stint at WLS as a talk-show host, WJMK, and WFYR. He was awarded Midday Personality of the Year at the 2000 Achievement in Radio (AIR) Awards. Garcia was born in Bryan, Texas just outside Houston, and began his radio career in his junior year of High School. He hosted his first request show on "Teen Time" on KORA-AM. The owners of KORA asked him to stay on after High School and remained there to support his way through college. He went on to later become the Program Director and Operations Manager at KORA-AM. Radio broadcasting is transmission of audio (sound), sometimes with related metadata, by radio waves to radio receivers belonging to a public audience. Gary Dee
Gary David Gilbert, (January 13, 1935 – November 10, 1995) on-air name Gary Dee, was a pioneer in controversial talk radio. He worked for stations which included WERE, WHK, and WWWE (now WTAM) in Cleveland, Ohio. He spent a short time in New York City, but failed to achieve the huge following he had in Ohio. Gary Dee's style varied from a confrontational, "down home" manner, to satire, and a no-holds barred shock jock style. He paved the way for radio stars who would follow him. Gary made heavy use of country music, especially Johnny Cash and George Jones. In his tongue-in-cheek way, he would poke fun at politicians, society in general, and his own family and life. Dan O'Shannon (born March 10, 1962) is an American television writer and producer who has worked on shows such as ''Newhart'', '' Cheers'', and ''Frasier''. He was an executive producer of the ABC show ''Modern Family'', but left the show at the conclusion of season five to accept a development deal at CBS TV Studios. He grew up in Euclid and Painesville, Ohio, graduating from Riverside High School in Painesville Township. Mark Buehrle
Mark Alan Buehrle (; born March 23, 1979) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played the majority of his Major League Baseball (MLB) career with the Chicago White Sox, playing twelve seasons for the team and winning the World Series with them in 2005. Buehrle also pitched for the Miami Marlins and Toronto Blue Jays. Buehrle pitched a no-hitter against the Texas Rangers on April 18, 2007, surrendering just one walk to Sammy Sosa who was then picked off at first base. Two seasons later, Buehrle pitched the 18th perfect game in baseball history against the Tampa Bay Rays on July 23, 2009. Eagle Insurance is a vehicle insurance agency based in Chicago, Illinois, which has been serving residents of the metropolitan area since 1961. It is best known for its unusual, low-budget television commercials featuring the egg-laying "Eagle Man", an actor in a bald eagle costume. The Chicago Bulls are an American professional basketball team based in Chicago. Halftime Show
A halftime show is a performance given during the brief period between the first and second halves, or the second and third quarters, of a sporting event. Halftime shows are not given for sports with an irregular or indeterminate number of divisions (such as baseball or boxing), or for sports that do not have an extended period of stoppage in play. Ice hockey games consist of three periods, so there are in effect two halftimes at a hockey game: the first intermission is between the first and second periods, and the second intermission comes between the second and third periods.
