Bill Dodd (California Politician)
William Harold Dodd (born June 10, 1956) is an American politician who is currently serving in the California State Senate. He is a Democrat representing the 3rd Senate District, which encompasses the northern San Francisco Bay Area and Delta region. Prior to his election to the State Senate, Dodd served in the California State Assembly representing the 4th Assembly District, which includes all or portions of Yolo, Napa, Sonoma, Lake, Solano, and Colusa Counties. Before serving in the Assembly, he served on the Napa County Board of Supervisors. Business career Prior to his time in elected office, Dodd was President and CEO of Diversified Water Systems, Inc. In 1978, Dodd earned a degree in Business Management from California State University, Chico. During his time in the water industry, Dodd was active in the water quality industry's state and national trade associations. State Route 12 (SR 12) is a state highway in the U.S. state of California that travels in an east–west direction from State Route 116 in Sebastopol in Sonoma County to State Route 49 just north of San Andreas in Calaveras County. Local Agency Formation Commissions or LAFCOs are regional service planning agencies of the State of California. LAFCOs are located in all 58 counties and exercise regulatory and planning powers in step with their prescribed directive to oversee the establishment, expansion, governance, and dissolution of local government agencies and their municipal service areas to meet current and future community needs.
