Bill Carson (musician)
Bill Carson (July 8, 1926 – February 15, 2007), born in Meridian, Oklahoma, was a California Western swing guitarist for whom Leo Fender originally designed the Fender Stratocaster electric guitar in the early 1950s. Meridian is a former census-designated place (CDP) in Stephens County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 1,485 at the 2000 census. As of the 2020 census, the area, plus land to the north, was part of the Sunray CDP. Geography Meridian is located at (34.416951, -97.969636). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 7.6 square miles (19.8 km2), of which 7.6 square miles (19.8 km2) is land and 0.13% is water. An autobiography, sometimes informally called an autobio, is a self-written account of one's own life. It is a form of biography. Definition The word "autobiography" was first used deprecatingly by William Taylor in 1797 in the English periodical ''The Monthly Review'', when he suggested the word as a hybrid, but condemned it as "pedantic". However, its next recorded use was in its present sense, by Robert Southey in 1809. Despite only being named early in the nineteenth century, first-person autobiographical writing originates in antiquity.
