Bill Brady (journalist)
William Brady, CM (born 1932) is a Canadian print and radio journalist, manager and executive who has been involved with various local and national organizations. Early life Brady was born in Windsor, Ontario and located to London in the 1950s to work in radio broadcasting. He is regarded as a pioneer of the telephone call-in show in Canada. Career Brady's daily radio program was on the air in the Southwestern Ontario region for more than 20 years. He also hosted a game show called ''Act Fast'' on the local television station CFPL-TV. Beyond his capacity as a radio personality for CFPL radio in London, Brady became more involved in the management of the station, eventually, in 1983 becoming the general manager. He went on to become president of operations for the Blackburn Radio company (owners of CFPL and five other stations) in 1993. William E. Brady (born May 15, 1961) is an American politician who was a Republican member of the Illinois Senate from May 2002 until his resignation in December 2020. Brady also served in the Illinois House of Representatives, representing the 88th District from 1993 to 2001 and was an unsuccessful candidate for Governor of Illinois in 2006, 2010, and 2014. Early life, education and career Brady was born on May 15, 1961, in Bloomington, Illinois. He graduated from Central Catholic High School and Illinois Wesleyan University. ''Watchmen'' is a twelve-issue comic book limited series created by Alan Moore, Dave Gibbons, and John Higgins, published by DC Comics in 1986 and 1987. ''Watchmen'' focuses on six main characters: the Comedian, Doctor Manhattan, the Nite Owl, Ozymandias, Rorschach, and the Silk Spectre. These characters were originally based on the Mighty Crusaders and then reworked in an unsolicited proposal to fit superhero properties DC had acquired from Charlton Comics in the early 1980s. Moore later based the team’s predecessors, the Minutemen, off of the Mighty Crusaders. Since the publisher planned to integrate Charlton's superheroes into the main DC Universe and the script would have made many of them unusable for future stories, series writer Alan Moore eventually agreed to create original characters.
