	Thomas Pottenger Thomas Alexander Pottenger (June 9, 1920 – October 24, 2003) was an American politician. He was a member of the Ohio House of Representatives. Originally elected to the House in 1968, Pottenger served two terms before losing the primary election to Richard Finan, much due to an unpopular vote regarding taxes. The House of Representatives first met in Chillicothe on March 3, 1803, under the later superseded state constitution of that year. In 1816, the capital was moved to Columbus, where it is located today. Members are limited to four successive two-year elected terms (terms are considered successive if they are separated by less than four years).
