Bill Amor
William George Amor (6 November 1919 – 1 May 1988) was an English amateur association football, footballer who represented Great Britain men's Olympic football team, Great Britain at the 1948 Summer Olympics, making one appearance. Although he spent the majority of his career in non-league football with teams such as Huntley & Palmers F.C., Huntley & Palmers and Metropolitan Police F.C., Metropolitan Police, Amor made 66 appearances in the Football League for Reading F.C., Reading between 1947 and 1952. Pewsey is a large village and civil parish at the centre of the Vale of Pewsey in Wiltshire, about south of Marlborough and west of London. A midfielder is an outfield position in association football. Midfielders may play an exclusively defensive role, breaking up attacks, and are in that case known as defensive midfielders.
