Bilal Ekşi
Bilal Ekşi (Born in 1968 in Rize, Turkey) is Deputy Chairman and CEO of Turkish Airlines. Biography Ekşi graduated from Yıldız Technical University, the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering in 1989. After graduation he joined as an Electronics and Communications Engineer the Turkish State Railways, later being assigned to the position of Workshop Manager at Metro Istanbul. Work Bilal Ekşi joined Turkish Airlines in 2003. Between 2003 and 2005 he worked as Head of Overhaul Workshops. In 2005, Ekşi became the company's Chief Ground Operations Officer. Between 2008 and 2009 Ekşi served as the Chief Production Officer at Turkish Technic, the maintenance, repair, and overhaul center of Turkish Airlines. Temel Kotil
Temel Kotil (born 1959 in Rize, Turkey) is an aeronautical engineer and currently the CEO of Turkish Aerospace Industries. Previously, he served as the CEO of Turkish Airlines from April 2005 to October 2016. He graduated in Aeronautical Engineering from Istanbul Technical University with a B.Sc degree in 1983. Awarded a scholarship by the Turkish Ministry of Industry in 1984, he was educated at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor (USA), where he obtained an M.Sc degree in Aerospace Engineering in 1986 and another M.Sc in Mechanical Engineering in 1987 from the same university. Kotil continued his studies there and received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering in 1991. The Turkish people, or simply the Turks ( tr, Türkler), are the world's largest Turkic ethnic group; they speak various dialects of the Turkish language and form a majority in Turkey and Northern Cyprus. Turkish Engine Center (TEC) is a joint venture between Pratt & Whitney and Turkish Technic for the maintenance, overhaul and repair of turbofan aircraft CFM56 and V2500 engines. TEC is located at Istanbul’s second international airport, Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW) on the Anatolian (Asian) part. TEC started operations in January 2010 and has an annual capacity of 200 shop visits per year. The facility occupies approximately 25,000 m² (250,000 square feet) which is larger than three soccer fields. TEC currently employs around 250 people.
