Big Kenny
William Kenneth Alphin (born November 1, 1963), best known by his stage name Big Kenny, is an American country music singer. He and John Rich comprise the duo Big & Rich, who recorded four studio albums and charted fifteen singles on the '' Billboard'' Hot Country Songs chart. Before Big & Rich, Big Kenny recorded a solo album '' Live a Little'' for Hollywood Records in 1999 (although it was not released until 2005) and fronted a band called luvjOi. He has also written or co-written several of Big & Rich's songs with Rich, as well as singles for Gretchen Wilson, Jason Aldean, McBride & the Ride, and Tim McGraw. His first solo single, "Long After I'm Gone," was released to country radio on August 3, 2009, from the album '' The Quiet Times of a Rock and Roll Farm Boy''. ''The Quiet Times of a Rock and Roll Farm Boy'' is the second solo studio album by American country music artist Big Kenny, one-half of the duo Big & Rich. It was released on November 10, 2009, via Big Kenny's own Love Everybody label. The lead-off single, "Long After I'm Gone," has entered the Hot Country Songs chart and has become his first solo Top 40 on that chart. It was followed in 2010 by ''Big Kenny's Love Everybody Traveling Musical Medicine Show Mix Tape, Vol. 1'', which was released exclusively through BigKenny.TV and BigSouthMusic.com. Big & Rich is an American country music duo composed of Big Kenny and John Rich, both of whom are songwriters, vocalists, and guitarists. Before the duo's foundation, Rich was bass guitarist in the country band Lonestar, while Kenny was a solo artist for Hollywood Records. The MuzikMafia was an informal collection of American country music artists, founded in October 2001 in Nashville, Tennessee by Big Kenny and John Rich (musician), John Rich (who compose the duo Big & Rich), along with Jon Nicholson and Cory Gierman. They have been the subject of a six-episode television series on the network Country Music Television, entitled ''MuzikMafia TV'', which followed the Muzik Mafia on their first stadium tour, the American Revolution Tour. It was released in February 2007 as the first single from their album ''Between Raising Hell and Amazing Grace''. The album's lead-off single "Lost In This Moment," became the duo's first Number One single on the Hot Country Songs chart. Also released from this album were the title track and "Loud", which respectively peaked at No. 37 and No. 42 on the same chart. The latter was the first single of the duo's career not to reach Top 40.
