The Bidjara or Pitjara are an Aboriginal Australian people of eastern Queensland. They are to be distinguished from the Bidjara of southwestern Queensland and the Badjiri of southern Queensland. Bidjara (Bulloo River)
The Bidjara people, also spelt Bitjara or Bithara, are an Aboriginal Australian people of south-western Queensland. They spoke a dialect of the Ngura language. They are not to be confused with the Warrego River Pitjara or the Badjiri of the Paroo River, both of whose traditional lands are further to the east of the state. Badjiri
The Badjiri people, also written Budjari or Badyidi, are an Australian Aboriginal people of just north of the Paroo River, close to the southern border of Queensland. They are not to be confused with the Pitjara/Bidjara people of the Warrego River area or the Bidjara/Bitjara people of the Bulloo River area. Country According to Norman Tindale, the Badjiri lands spanned some , reaching from around Hungerford to Eulo on the Paroo River. Norman Tindale
Norman Barnett Tindale AO (12 October 1900 – 19 November 1993) was an Australian anthropologist, archaeologist, entomologist and ethnologist. Life Tindale was born in Perth, Western Australia in 1900. His family moved to Tokyo and lived there from 1907 to 1915, where his father worked as an accountant at the Salvation Army mission in Japan. Norman attended the American School in Japan, where his closest friend was Gordon Bowles, a Quaker who, like him, later became an anthropologist. The family returned to Perth in August 1917, and soon after moved to Adelaide where Tindale took up a position as a library cadet at the Adelaide Public Library, together with another cadet, the future physicist, Mark Oliphant. In 1919 he began work as an entomologist at the South Australian Museum. Nogoa River
The Nogoa River is a river located in Central Queensland, Australia. Course and features The river rises on the Carnarvon Range, part of the Great Dividing Range, in the Carnarvon National Park and flows in a generally north easterly direction towards . Chesterton Range National Park
Chesterton Range is a national park in South West Queensland, Australia, 585 km west of Brisbane. It is located north east of Morven in both the locality of Redford in the Maranoa Region and in Tyrconnel in the Shire of Murweh. It lies in the water catchment areas of three waterways. These are the Warrego River, Wallam Creek and the Maranoa River. The park protects part of Brigalow Belt South bioregion. To the north and to the west of the park is Orkadilla State Forest. The Nive River is a river that is part of the Darling catchment within the Murray–Darling basin, is located in the south west region of Queensland, Australia. Course and features The Nive River rises on the western slopes of Mount Playfair south of the Salvador Rosa section of Carnarvon National Park and flows westwards through Long Waterhole to approximately east of Tambo. There the Nive flows to the south, its course followed by the Landsborough Highway, before crossing it near Nive Downs.
