Biddy White Lennon
Biddy White Lennon (5 September 1946 – 25 November 2017) was an Irish actress and food writer. Life White Lennon was born in Dublin and began acting when she was four. Her mother was Ursula White, a drama professor who ran a school of acting in the Pocket Theatre at Ely Place (one of her students was Joe Dowling while Deirdre O'Connell used the school as her foundation for the Stanislavski Studio). Her father died while she was under ten. White Lennon started in ''The Riordans'' when the programme first aired in January 1965. She played the role of Maggie Riordan (née Nael), daughter-in-law of the matriarch and wife of Benjy, and she remained on the show until its cancellation in 1979. When the series was brought to the radio, White Lennon wrote for it. The Riordans
''The Riordans'' was the second Irish television drama serial made by Raidio Telefís Éireann (then called ''Telefís Éireann''). It ran from 1965 to 1979 and was set in the fictional townland of Leestown in County Kilkenny. Its location filming with Outside Broadcast Units, rather than using only TV studios, broke the mould of broadcasting in the soap opera genre and inspired the creation of its British equivalent, ''Emmerdale Farm'' (now called ''Emmerdale'') by Yorkshire Television in 1972. Joe Dowling
Joe Dowling (born 27 September 1948) is an artistic director. He was artistic director for the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. He is known for his work as artistic director of the Abbey Theatre in Ireland and his production involvement can be found in the Abbey Theatre archives. He has also directed plays in other theatres in Ireland as well as theatres in London, New York City, Washington D.C., Montreal, and Alberta. In 1975 he directed "Katie Roche" by Irish playwright Teresa Deevy. Eleanore Deirdre O'Connell (16 June 1939 – 9 June 2001) was an Irish American actress, singer, and theatre director who founded the Focus Theatre in Dublin, Ireland. Biography O'Connell was born in the South Bronx district of New York City, one of five children whose parents were Irish immigrants. When she finished school, she pursued her interest in theatre studying first at Erwin Piscator's Dramatic Workshop, New York City, and later at the Actors Studio run by Lee Strasberg. In her early twenties, O'Connell moved to Dublin, Ireland, where she set up the Stanislavski Studio at the Pocket Theatre. There she trained a small company of actors in Stanislavski's system. The Great Irish Bake Off
''The Great Irish Bake Off'' was an Irish reality TV cooking series. The show was based on the successful BBC show ''The Great British Bake Off''. The show was produced by Sideline Productions for the TV3 Group. It premiered on TV3 Ireland on 19 September 2013, broadcasting for three seasons. Series 1 and 2 were broadcast on Thursday nights from 21:00. Series 3 launched in a Sunday night slot on 25 October 2015 at 21:00. In August 2016, the TV3 Group confirmed the series would not return for a fourth season run; however, the broadcaster did not rule out of returning to the series at a later date. The show was replaced by ''Masterchef Ireland'' and ''Celebrity Masterchef Ireland''.
