Bhupinder Nath Kirpal
Bhupinder Nath Kirpal (B. N. Kirpal) (born 8 November 1937) was the 31st Chief Justice of India, serving from 6 May 2002 until his retirement on 7 November 2002. He is an alumnus of The Modern School, New Delhi and St Stephens College, Delhi University. A top cricketer, he represented both his school and college. He began his legal career as an advocate in 1962 and was appointed a Judge of Delhi High Court in November 1979. In December 1993, he was appointed Chief Justice of the Gujarat High Court. In September 1995, he was appointed Judge of the Supreme Court of India and became Chief Justice of India in May 2002. After retirement as the Chief Justice of India, he was appointed the 1st Chairman of the National Forest Commission on 21 February 2003. Kocheril Raman Narayanan
Kocheril Raman Narayanan (27 October 1921 – 9 November 2005) was an Indian statesman, diplomat, academic, and politician who served as the 9th Vice President of India from 1992 to 1997 and 10th President of India from 1997 to 2002 . Born in Perumthanam, Uzhavoor village, in the princely state of Travancore (present day Kottayam district, Kerala), and after a brief stint with journalism and then studying political science at the London School of Economics with the assistance of a scholarship, Narayanan began his career in India as a member of the Indian Foreign Service in the Nehru administration. Sam Piroj Bharucha
Sam Piroj Bharucha (November 1, 1936) was the 30th Chief Justice of India, serving from November 2001 until his retirement in 2002. He began his legal career as an advocate of the Bombay High Court in 1960, and was appointed an Additional Judge in 1977. His judgeship was made permanent in 1978, and in 1991 he was appointed Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court. In 1992, he was appointed to the Supreme Court of India, and became Chief Justice in 2001. Bharucha is responsible for many significant legal decisions.
