Bhuma Akhila Priya is an Indian politician from Andhra Pradesh. She is the former Tourism and Culture minister of Andhra Pradesh. She is currently the member of Telugu Desam Party. Early life Akhila Priya was born on 2 April 1987 to Bhuma Nagi Reddy and Shobha Nagi Reddy in Allagadda, Kurnool District, Andhra Pradesh. She is the eldest of three children. In 2014 had to contest in the Allagadda by-election which was vacant due to the death of her mother in a road accident, was unanimously elected representing the YSR Congress Party. Political career In 2014, she won as an Member of the Legislative Assembly from the Allagadda assembly constituency by-election representing YSR Congress Party. Telugu Desam Party
The Telugu Desam Party (; TDP) is an Indian regional political party operating in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana at the state and central level. Since its founding by N. T. Rama Rao (often referred to as NTR) on 29 March 1982, the party has focused on supporting Telugu speakers. Since 1995, NTR's son-in-law, N. Chandrababu Naidu, has led the party. The TDP currently holds three Lok Sabha seats, one Rajya Sabha seat, and is the main opposition party in both houses of Andhra Pradesh's legislature. Roja Selvamani (born Sri Latha Reddy; 17 November 1972), also known as R. K. Roja or Lady Roja Selvamani, is an Indian politician and former actress. Shobha Nagi Reddy (16 December 1968 – 24 April 2014) was an Indian politician from Andhra Pradesh, India. She represented the Allagadda constituency in the Legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh for four terms until 2012 when she resigned due to political turmoil in her party. She served as the chairperson of Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) and was the spokesperson for Prajarajyam party, having previously been General Secretary and also a state committee member in Telugu Desam Party. Bhuma Nagi Reddy
Bhuma Nagi Reddy ( te, భూమా నాగిరెడ్డి; 8 January 1964 – 12 March 2017) was an Indian politician. He was elected in a by-election to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 1992 after the sudden death of his brother, Bhuma Sekhar Reddy, an MLA from Allagadda constituency in Kurnool district. In 1996, Reddy was the Telugu Desam Party candidate against Prime Minister P. V. Narasimha Rao in the Nandyal Lok Sabha constituency election. He served in the 11th, 12th and 13th Lok Sabhas. Reddy died in office on 12 March 2017 after a massive heart attack at his home in Allagadda.
