Bhujangayyana Dashavathara
''Bhujangayyana Dashavathara'' is a 1988 Indian Kannada-language political drama film directed and produced by Lokesh, based on the novel of the same name by Srikrishna Alanahalli. Besides Lokesh as the protagonist, the film stars Pallavi Joshi and Girija Lokesh. The film opened on 4 January 1991 and won numerous awards including the Best Film in Karnataka State Film Awards, best story and best supporting actor. At the Filmfare Awards South, the film won the best director award to Lokesh. However, the film performed poorly at the box office and incurred huge financial losses for Lokesh. Lokesh
Lokesh (; 19 May 1947 – 14 October 2004) was an Indian actor who appeared in Kannada plays and films. His wife Girija Lokesh is an actress and film director. His father was Subbaiah Naidu, who is credited to be first hero of Kannada silent movies. Lokesh made his film debut in the 1958 film '' Bhakta Prahlada''. He had thrice won the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Actor during his career, for ''Bhootayyana Maga Ayyu'' (1974), for ''Parasangada Gendethimma'' (1978) and for ''Banker Margayya'' (1984). Latha Hamsalekha
Latha, commonly known as Latha Hamsalekha, is an Indian playback singer in Kannada. She is the wife of composer Hamsalekha. For her song ''Aa Arunodaya Chanda'' in the movie ''Arunodaya'', Latha was awarded the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer in 1999–2000. Personal life Latha was born in Bangalore to Mitrananda Kumar and Sharada. She married Hamsalekha and they have a son and two daughters. Chandrika Gururaj
Chandrika Gururaj (born 4 October 1959), is an Indian playback singer, known for her works in Kannada. Apart from film songs, she has also recorded numerous devotional, bhaavageethe and folk songs. For her song "O Priyatama" in the movie ''Urvashi'', Chandrika won the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer in 1994. Filmfare Awards South is the South Indian segment of the annual Filmfare Awards, presented by the Filmfare magazine of The Times Group to honour both artistic and technical excellence of professionals in the Indian film industry encompassing four languages, namely, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. They were introduced in 1954, around the films released in 1952-53 and Filmfare Awards initially recognizing the Hindi film industry. In 1964 awards were extended in Tamil, Telugu, Bengali and Marathi, around the films released in 1963.
